Thread: Outragous Fees.
Mostly Piaras..
TheIncome Tax is not a tax but a weekly fee... It can be set to 2000cr per resident.
The property tax is a percentage of any player owned structures maintenance each hour and paid from the maintenance pool
The sales tax is a percentage over what the player is selling any item for in his vendors inside the city limits and paid for by the consumer.
And lastlt the travel Tax.. once again is not a tax but a fee charged above and beyond what the server sets as the cost to travel to or from the shuttleport in your city also paid for by the consumer
I think that covers the cities imposed taxes and fees

Credits are not a problem in this game, crafting or no. Missions can more than bring in enough credits for non-crafters. Why do you think the devs keep lowering the payouts? Because people are making tons of credits.
Perks are to be paid for. A city is a perk. Having a specialization for your city; another perk. If you want it, you have to pay for it. It's as simple as that.
Costs need to be high. City's need to be differentiated. If everyone can get everything for low cost what is the point? You will have a city that has one specialization and another that has a different one. This will allow people to gravitate to the cities that meet their needs.
Things should be expensive to make sure only the viable cities exist. A city should be a group of people committed to the upkeep and growth of a city. Jus having a private little enclave of 15 friends doesn't entitled you to the benefits of a city in my opinion.
but also remember..... you can have mission terminal in your own city!! ![]()
this way the "turn around" on cost vs income is smaller
