Its a new system, it will probably undergo even more changes. We will just have to cope.

So people who placed city halls and only want 5 will be fully compensated I assume?

And there is no need to raise the player number to increase the number ofcities. people are doing cross-server lots - you don't think people will agree to do cross-server citizenship too? It is easy to manipulate the population system, when you only need 5 more ....

What type of advantage do you get as a Level 1 city? Why WOULDN'T you want to grow?

You can keep people from building harvesters in yoru front yard... And you have an official city, and you can place a small garden and fountains and statues....

I am not saying my town was going to stay at level 1, just saying that level 1 want-to-be cities shouldn't be getting nerfed like this. It is more BS than the caps on cities were..

I'll say this as plainly as I can....

I personally plopped down a CRAP LOAD of credits to buy a City Hall and placed it pretty quickly, and got the 8 people together to place houses there really quickly. 8 was a good number, in that the minimum was *5* FRICKEN YESTERDAY. Now, I am unable to log into the game, since I am at work, and I'm reading this... knowing that I have 8 people and about an hour before my City Hall goes down.

I am NOT going to spend the time to work back up to the monetary level I was before the City Hall was purchased.

I am NOT going to know what to say to the people who were working so hard with me on this,

and...

I am NOT going to keep my account open with SOE for more than 15 minutes after I know whether or not the City Hall was shut down.

Really people, how in the HELL was this so clearly miscommunicated, when it was so CLEAR that 5 WAS the minium to keep it standing less than 24 hours ago?! I want answers. I want them now. And I know for a fact I am not alone when I say that I am tired of getting "the truth" about what is going on after it's too d*** late.

If anyone agrees, for goodness sake, grow some gonads and bumo this thread.

Mission terminals. That's enough to keep people in town for a lot of us. Heck we could care less if we stay at Level II for quite a while, honestly.

Also, the city radius sizes have been reduced in some cases. E.g., level 2 is now only 200m, not 250m.

I am not happy about this in the least. Very sneaky and underhanded to pull this on us after everyone has spent close to 300k or more to get the city hall up and running. What's even more disturbing is not knowing what will happen say if you get 19 people before the change? Do you then get perma stuck at level 1? Are existing city halls grandfathered in to being able to grow?

Sorry, I'm just a bit upset over this.

Ack, maybe I'm wrong about city radius sizes. Was it always 200m for a rank 2 city? If so, there's been no change.

The change in population requirements is very annoying, in any case.

I'm disheartened a bit but understanding. we're going to hit 17 citizens this week, no more, because we have a 1 week trial period for potential residents (just to make sure they're RP'ers and not complete jerks). By this standard it now looks as if we will likely be an Outpost for about a month, because I know that even newer cities will reach Rank II before us most likely. Thankfully our citizens are fine with that (their votes are coming in right now, and the two big things they cared about were mission terminals and a militia, still attainable), but its still a bit disheartening.

This isn't a stealth change. About the time the feature was posted, he posted this thread which explains what's coming up for player cities. But he's not being picked up by the dev tracker right now apparently. These are coming changes, not current.

On a side note....that guide that TH posted says that you need the third box for trainers... and the second for mission terms...

Is this getting changed too? Because right now it's level 2 box for trainers, and level 1 box for mission terms.
