You can't just place a city hall among other buildings and have them automatically be part of a city. If they ARE, then *that* is the bug.

Don't people have to enter their houses once after the city is dropped to "declare" citizenship in the city? We had piles of people who "qualified," but weren't added as citizens until the actually entered their declared residences after City Hall dropped.

This would explain the groth of our citizenship sheet.

We had 9 out of 39 on the sheet then about 3 hours later it went to 18...I am going to try that tonight. I will post the results here. I despratly want to track this thing down. It's rather annoying. we have a large PA so the #'s mean jack to me but I'm sure this bug has many a politician worried sick.

The system is unable to add players as citizens unless:

- They explicitly declare or redeclare their citizenship.

- They enter their residence that is already declared and a part of the city.

It's indirect, but a limitation of the system. I'll see if it can be improved or made more intuitive in the future.

The problem is that when you first build the city hall, the system does not recognize new citizens when they enter their residence that is already declared part of the city. I think it takes an hour or two and then people who log on and enter will be recognized as citizens. But others have to either redeed or build another house and declare there....

Can we get the Wanderer bug fixed? I'm declared in a city and show up on the terminal yet it still says i am a wanderer on my character info.

Agreed, it would also be cool if you were a town citizen, if that showed up when you were examined.

I was able to get about 2/3 of our people as citizens.

Had to have them relog, redeclare and a try whatever we could. Some just couldn't get it to work. Hopefully it'll kickintomorrow.

In lieu of starting another thread, this seemed the best thread to ask this question on.

Does the mayor count as one of the five citizens for the city?

Still no luck with me being inside the city. One reason could be that when I almost get to her house, I get the system message saying that I have left the city. But, like I said, her house shows up as being in the city in my e-mails.

I believe the 'bug' here is that if a house is partially within the radius, but its management terminal is not, then it will count as a building within the radius, but the resident won't count as a citizen. We have the same issue with at least one person in our city.

Well that could explain why it worked fine for me.. My house is right on the edge of a city. Standing just inside I'm not in the city. However it is a small Naboo round house, which has the management terminal in back, and I rotated it so the front is towards some water that is on the edge of the 150m citcle. (Yes, we have water near our city, it's not an ocea, and part of the aesthetics we planned)

All of our players were considered citizens after entering their house. a couple had to run in and out a few times, but they all made citizen without having to relog or move (unless they were outside the 150). Players placing new structures and declaring residence also became citizens with no problem whatsoever (Scylla, Naboo)

I'll put my 2 creds in here also... a citizen that moves a house within city limits (from within to within) is seen as "leaving" the city.. and not coming back.

Since this happened close to the City Hall's apparent placement 24 hours previously, the city assumed we didn't have the residency requirements (even though checking not 5 minutes before confirmed we did) and poofed with a brief anouncement.

The timer between the City Hall and the "new" resident doesnt' jive.. since the "new" resident couldnt' declare in a timely fashion.

I'm out a City Hall, 35k maintenace, and my town status (since my spot was promptly snapped up).
