Hi Plinka,

The people mouthing off at you are just being jerks. You're doing a WONDERFUL job. As for the devs - I know they mean well, but this is a nasty surprise. If we'd known about the caps a month ago, I wouldn't be angry.... hearing about this so late in the game throws all our plans into completel turmoil.

Well the caps will be unfortunate, but the further info at least offers hope to those who will missout on intitial PC patch...On my surver I am aware of at least 15 guilds that have city aspirations on naboo and there most be 20 more I am not aware of. This information should have been shared by dev awhile ago.. I have spent a considerable fortune moving over 50 people and 3 guilds to naboo in preparation for PC and will be greatly disturbed, as will many others, if we cant beat the other archs/guilds to the finishline and get our town hall up before them.. Regardless, I would be interested in discovering when the caps will be expanded...1 week...2 weeks..a month...and in the mean time, the cities that were formed will have expanding commercial power and high lvl politicians, giving them a considerable advantage over those who will have to wait to incorporate their towns.

i post extremely rarely but felt i needed to on this. like most i have eagerly antcipated player cities. i am also disappointed with the caps. but i understand that hardware restrictions arise and it is good to know that they will be lifted eventually.

But for one single person to blame you is attrocious. you have been doing a superb job! i find your post to be well thought out. they are both informative and sometimes entertaining. you may not be the best coorespondent (not sure who would be though) but you are easily one of the best.

Keep up the fabulous work. and to all the nay sayers go jump off a bridge

Great job, Plinka! You're a superb correspondent.

One note. You said,"Because those caps will be raised, EVERONE, will have the opportunity to take part in a player city."

Well, even with a cap of 10, pretty much everyone would still have the opportunity to "take part in" a player city. A metropolis has almost 10k "squares" (8m x 8m), which translates to maybe 750 small houses. That's 7,500 active players for a main planet, which may well be most of the active player base.

But I think most active players want to do more than "take part in" a player city. I think they want their large guild or their coalition of smaller guilds to have a controlling interest in a player city. That's not going to happen with a cap of 10, and it is not clear it will happen with a "raised" cap.

All BS - some people will complain about anything and everything. You're doing a great job Plinka, keep up the good work and don't let those few bitter complainers get you down.

Plinka,

You have done an excellent job as correspondent. I have appreciated your informative and professional posts. I think part of the problem has come from TH's unfortunate wording of the explanation as shown in the quote below.

I couldnt be more clear. I didn't divert attention, I specifically said it was to prevent bad server lag - - which it is (explanation about caps below). You see, the information that was released was an accident on the part of the correspondent - - which ultimately is bound to happen. That's why Im here. Hopefully, he will reword this.

Thank you for a clear explanation and all the other hard word you have done.

Yeah an accident by the correspondent who waited to get permission to post it? TH needs to retract that statement / apologize. And how does that help SOE's case anyway. THey wanted to keep this a secret from us until we tried to lay down a City Hall (after building one) and got a message stating "sorry too many cities on this planet already..."?

you are doing a good job sir but to think the dev team did not know this was going to happen or be a issue is well sorry to say navie they knew ,they chose do not say anything as has been a history with this group.

to hear that it is only "temp " is well not not cutting it sorry to say for months we been ask to have patience while we waited for content that should have been in game at release and was promised seveal times to each level in beta but put off and now we are told later down the road "soon ..well maybe soon" it will be added

sorry but after being mislead and in some opinions lied to ,I'll take what they say with little trust as I have lost all trust in what I read form any DEV fool me once shame on you ,fool me tiwce shame on me but i be XXX if you will fool me again

They knew but simply did not care period.
