Thread: Some things that need to be revamped to avoid any form of grief play from mayors...
You must be a rebel... there's no democracy here... LOL :-P YOU WILL OBEY ME AS MAYOR AND LIKE IT!!! LOL :-P
Vote on it... lol :-P
Well I believe the privacy thing is a bug that will get fixed. The devs have stated that when you are banned you are not able to enter any civic structures EXCEPT the city hall. Thi sallows you to still cast your votes. This should be the same for the privacy. It isn't on any radial menu so I don't think it was intended for the hall. The same goes for permissions on the hall. It can be done, but was not intended. Just overlooked. maybe our corrispondant could respond verifying this????
The treasury should be left alone though. if the city needs a bank and doesn't have an architect, do you expect the mayor to buy it with his own money? I wouldn't. i would check if their were funds available in the treasury and use it if there was. if not, I would let the citizens know that until there is enough in the treasury, we won't have a bank. I would also tell them what the costwas so they could put in their fair share.
One thing I would like to have added would be to extend the zoning rights to the max area that the city could possibly fill. right now all a group has to do to take over a city is to place houses just outside the current city and wait for the city to expand. Once it does, they become citizens and can vote the current mayor out. Not a problem for the large cities, but for the small growing ones, it could prove deadly. We should be able to grant zoning on the full 450M radius, just not count as citizens until the city is up to that size. This would keep Imperial cities from taking over small rebel cities and destroying them. Or vis versa.
As for destroying the city hall. I think once it is placed it should take a vote from the citizens to destroy it. Wouldn't need EVERYone to vote, but have atleast 50% vote to destroy it.
This is not all bad.
Scenerio: A small outpost with 15 registered members is about grow into a rank 2 city. Some big mean guild comes in and places house just outside their city limits and waits for the city expansion. They then proceed to elect their mayor and steal the Town Hall.
The current mayor could set the privacy on the town hall to prevent this hostial takeover.
Just a thought,

If a mayor does this,..then just un-declare ur residence..fight back
LOL, thats the point the mayor wants him to undeclare so he won't be part of the city anymore. Besides how do you expect him to fight back, there is no tef given when you raise taxes and soon as the Mayor has a Milita up all of sudden the guy is going to be /ban and /warn and then shot anytime he comes near the city. Its simple, you have to elect a Mayor that you think will do a good jobor move into a fair city where the Mayor won't try to kill you when you do anything against them. I personally welcome competition but its going to be really hard to convience my 100 residents why I shouldn't be mayor anymore espeically since I founded the city and built just about everything it has since July.
