Thread: Proposal to improve Politician Opportunity

Well the incentive to keep high level mayors will be the bonuses they afford. Master Politicians can provide Industrial Societies and Scientific Societies. I do not think that just because a new lower level politican gets elected that structures in the city should go poof! And I think SOE agrees.
I wouldn't bet on SOE agreeing with anything. They have a track record of making things harder not easier. Until there is more of a reason to keep the profession (such as maybe an elite class above it, like senator or something), there is nothing to stop you from getting all the buildings and then giving up the skills. Many people don't care too much about the spec's just the buildings.
BTW have you checked out those bonuses? They are more for newbie crafters rather than the elite professionals that pump things out with factories. I didn't notice until yesterday that the Manufacturing bonus only applies to prototype items and not factory output. Kinda odd, except they probably don't want factories in cities. I dunno, I think they could have done a bit more with those specializations.
I think that this is an awesome idea, as I have spent so much more time running from one end of my town to the other and trying to have 6-8 different conversations at once, this would really help lighten the load from the mayor of the town, and allow those that really want to help with the town get even more involved.

Master CH, Pistoleer, Politician
i know small towns would be the answer but then comes the city limit i see the pol profession hitting a brick wall that only a few chosen will be a part of.
