Does anyone know when cantina's can be placed. I know they are level 2 citiesbut I dind't see anywhere in the politician skill trees for placing these. Can these just be dropped by master entertainer once you achieve level 2 city? I noticed in the third teir you can get city specialization for medical and entertainment, but it doesn't seem you need those to place the cantina or the med center. Anyone know?

Cantinas require the mayor to have zoning rights. We get that in Novice politician. So after your first city cycle you should be able to allow a Master Entertainer/Dancer/Chef to place it.

do Cantina's really require 7 lots? sheesh... thats scary. Ive seen them on test and they arent that large, lol.

So a mayor no longer needs Civic III to grant the right to drop a Cantina?

Civic three is specialization entertainment district, not the ability to drop a cantina.

You need to be a Master Dancer or Master Musician in order to place/own a Cantina. Cantina only takes 3 lots. The Mayor can not place one if he/she is not an Entertainment ProfessionMaster.

I have read that Master Chef's can also place a Cantina. Is this true?

Yes. Master Chefs can place.

I do not believe the 3 lots to be true though. 6 was the last we heard from the Chef correspondent, and I consider his word gosphel in terms of anything concerning our profession.

There seems to be some confusion on this score. Let me clarify:

1. A cantina requires a Level 2 Player City

2. They also require a Master Dancer, Master Musician, or Master Chef to place them.

3. They currently take up 5 lots. (They started at 7 but have been reduced.)

There's a good reason for the confusion cause the "offical" guide says that Master Musicians and Master Dancers can place them.
