Thread: Medical Center: What's the use?

Other than the ability to cure wounds, like any other camp or droid attachment provides, what is the benefit of the seven lot medical center?

1.) Does it provide an additional bonus to healing?

2.) If so, would that stack with the bonus provided by a 110 medical effectiveness droid?

3.) Will the center provide any bonuses for crafting medication?

4.) If so, will this bonus stack with a high effectiveness crafting tool or station?

If these bonuses have not been implemented, may I humbly suggest them to justify the taxes and maintenance, not to mention the lot size that will be expended. Otherwise, what's the point?

There is no seven lot medical center, it's a three lot medical center.

Your other questions I leave as an excercise for the student.

Instead of an exercise for the student, could you let us know if this is the case, or if not, please forward this to the developers to justify the expense on such a structure.

The center provides no bonuses. I suggest that it *might* auto-heal wounds like an NPC med center does (I have not tried this, however.) The advantage is that it is listed on the world map as a medical center and you may /register to indicate to the world at large that the center is staffed.

Player Medical Centers ARE registered on the map... well, they are in QAVille and Leetville.

Nice. 1-star your correspondant, who has worked her tail off for this community, just because she didn't spoon feed you every detail you could come up with to ask as quickly as you want (maybe she doesn't know *everything* there is to know yet? Good luck finding even a dev that does).

Grow up.

There is a new thing coming out in the next patch.

It's called RolePlaying. Very exciting. Give it a shot.

If you would be so kind as to read my post instead of simply trolling, you will see that I asked for an answer to this question, or to forward the suggestion to the developers. If you will note, the job description of the "correspondent" covers exactly this function. I did not ask to be "spoon fed," simply to ask a question and recieve a response. If Plinka did not know the answer, I would hope that she is humble enough to admit it rather than dispensing platitudes that serve no purpose. I do not think that this is too much to ask.

So, back to the question at hand:

I myself would not push for the construction of a medical center within my city limits. I feel that all of our master healers have more important things to do with their lots. To have your medical center be listed on the world map is not a good enough reason to have a medical center. In the long run, who really cares? Anyone on your planet, anywhere, can be sure to find someone to heal them, and I hihgly doubt you having a medical center listed is gonna guarentee more attention. You can heal (even BF) in houses, so as long as you find someone who can heal, and a house to be healed in, your set within a city.

However, as for a cantina, I have mixed feelings. Entertainers have absolutely nothing to do with their lots (this does not apply to all entertainers). My guild Master Dancer insisted that she set up a cantina for us in our city, and because I adore her, I certainly had no arguments. Also, the cantina looks cool, would be a rad place to party and roleplay. The medical center does not host a similar appeal.

Overall, the only reason I would say that anyone would host any of these structures is to feel they live in a completed city. But to me, a city with residents and a city that is convientient (via shuttle, etc.) is a complete city.
