Thread: The Mayor's Vote

Ok, I got some clarification from GreenMarine on the Mayor Vote issue. Here's what he had to say:

"The mayor's vote does count for themselves, but there is an error in the xp calculation. Please be very clear on this point. The mayor's vote does count."

Given that, I would not expect that make-up exp will be handed out, but that this error should be fixed the near future.

Also, they are investigating the issues of cities not always expanding and the vote experience not being granted in all cases.

Thanks for your understanding in these matters.

ok let me get this straight, so they say that it was a bug and that mayors should have gotten exp for their own vote, they say their going to fix it for furthure elections but wont repair the damage done already.

Nice SOE, real nice....

Hmm, like be a surrogate for her? Plinka is a she if I am not mistaken, hehe...

Also, why wouldn't we get xp retroactively? The devs admit that it was an error, so just give all politiicans 100 xp now or an extra 100 xp next election? Or we could all settle for lowering the level 1 box requirements to 900 or something hehe.

Oh come on 100 xp... not that terrible, unless of course you missed one box by those 100..

Anyway.. most important is that they fix the *cities not expanding* bug and hopefully fix it soon, so we won't loose a growth-cycle.

Yeah, I'm sure only 90% or so of cities struggled to get exactly 30 votes like mine. 2900 XP... its grrrrrrrrrrrreat!

Thats precisely the problem.

And as mayor XP is given weekly, is it fair to make us wait another week?

I did and 2900 xp was the difference between three Tier1 skill boxes and two Tier1 skill boxes. I still want my 100 xp so I can get another box. Sorry, I know I'm whining and I'll stop now. I'm actually happier with my City than I am discouraged.

i dont know if you spelled your name with a K on purpose but the correct spelling is Titus Andronicus

It is my favorite Shakespear play, and Julie Taymor did an awsome job at making the Film Adaptation starring Anthony Hopkins

I ended up with 1900 xp and 20 citizens. I just figured I couldn't vote for myself. Oh well... It would have been nice to register our city immediately.

Uhhhh...so spin doctoring Dev's say, Yes the mayors vote WILL count come day but not right now. Unless what they really mean is they do count but 1 random voter per city looses a vote (cough).

Ok good to know! We added 1 extra voter as it was and snuck in 35 votes from 36 voters. Got our Cantina and a Bank in the same day, go us! Next vote we should nail down about 52 votes. **edit** medium buildings look great but they sure do spread the city out.
