Thread: I just want a responce , Please Plinka.
Whay am I still unable to place a City Hall? The Outpost Rule not in effect yet? Why?
Thats what I thought, no answer = no care. Those of us who want a City are just Sh-t out of luck, huh.
People do have other things they need to do than sit here and make sure you posts are answered within 2 hours.
the answer to your question is.....
they did NOT lift the cap on planets yet. Thats why you cant place your hall on a already filled up planet.
If you read this thread, on the front page of this forum, you'd see that Thunderhead actually said that the caps would be lifted in the next PUBLISH, not the next hot fix or patch. That means the big monthly ones. He also said it would probably be the first week in December.
It's not that nobody cares. It's that you think it's Plinka's job to read the forums for you. =)

And if you read this TH thread from the day AFTER the thread you cite, you will see he states they will be lifted sometime between now and the next publish. Which necessarily means the caps must be liftedBEFORE the next publish...

To find out exactly what that number will be, we will be doing additional Player City Testing on Test Center. We don’t know what that number will be, but don’t despair, we have solutions to address many different player concerns here. "
I haven't installed/played yet today, but from what I'm seeing on the forums the answer is NO, the exemption for Outposts from the cap rules haven't been put in place yet.
Thank goodness ... I'd like them to get past the 1-week anniversary of the initial City Hall placements and the escalation from Town to Village and the update of all the Mayor election results, make sure *that* works, and *then* mess with that Outpost rule and dramatically increase the number of cities the database has to deal with.
The caps stink, but if they're going to keep them in place, the least they can do is adequately test the system they have in place for ONE cycle of elections/city growth.

Why do you want a million little outposts??? oh, I forgot... we want SWG to be Sim City 4000.... I forgot...
Actually, that would be Sim City 1000, as this takes place a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.
Look everyone should get to have thier City/ Outpost. Those who want only 5-10 people in thier city fine let them have it, No Problem but to have that small Outpost count as a city and go onto the city capp is not a good idea. Those of us who have the resources and people to have the larger cities will be so far behind by the time this is fixed. All I want is a chance to get on with Our city. And by the way no the world does not relvolve around me but it does revolve around my guild and the 30 people waiting for thiscity to get going.
If they were so worried about the stress on the servers then this content shouldnot have been added this soon and the existing buggs worked out first.
Actaully I dont think they shoud have allowed a town hall with less than 20 people. Just my opinion
