Remove /GrantZoningRights from Militia.
Create a Council group that have /GrantZoningRights.
Add a command /AddCouncilMember that can only be used by the Mayor.

this is a huge inconvienence that the militia is given the role of city developer, and there is no set distinction between them.
I have a similar proposal pending on another thread "Proposal for Increased Politician Opportunity". It includes optionally giving the zoning rights delegation over to a specific City Planner. It also includes some ideas for other politicians to work in a city and actually use their game mechanics skills, NPC guards and similar. Check it out and see what you think (though I agree your suggestion would probably be implemented much faster than mine!)

Aye!!
this would mean that the mayor have to keep track of his council (or the new mayor) sounds like a real political battle hehe....
The politician role has been set up to be like a Dictator meets Democrazy. The Mayor is all powerful, but could be voted out of office.
I completely agree with this idea. The mayor needs to have the ability to add "City Permissions" to the citizens he/she can trust. I am having a blast playing the role of mayor, but I could use MORE HELP!

I have created a city council that consists of elected PA representatives from each of the4 PAs in my city (soon to be 5), and would love it if I could give them special abilities.
