Heh, sorry bud,you arent going to havemuch of a choice on it, DX2 is the ONLY pistoleer gun, atleast right now anyway, and there is a big debate on wether its actually the best because the armor piercing on it is bugged currently. Most would say it comes down to a high damage FWG5 or a DX2 hopefully we will get some new guns soon.

PvP: DX2 or FWG5 (if you dont have a good DX2)
PvE: 100% dependant on the mob you are fighting and what their vulnerabilities are.
There is a use for all damage types, heat, kinetic energy, acid, stun.
I prefer the scout blaster when not buffed just due to the low HAM cost, but that rarely determines which gun I use. Examine your mob target, then just click the hotkey for the best weapon for the job ![]()

If you choose to pair up BH, of course, the scatter > the dx2.
If you choose to go commando, then launcher is a good gun, but I dont know enough about overall performance compared to the DX2 to guess. It's an AR0 weapon with blast damage type, but has very good accuracy and fairly high max damage (250+ I think).
Choosing between the DX2 and.... unarmed, I guess, I'll take the DX2.
My general favoritest pistol is the scout blaster. I like spamming specials.
speaking of the Launcher pistol. What is the penalty for using a gun while not certified for it? Since towers and ATST are going to be vuln to blast it may just be worth carrying one of these and spamming fanshot against the ATST.
But what is the penalty/reduction for using it without the cert?
