Ok i tested this out. The game takes an addtional 75% off specials. My regular shots are doing the same as my stop shot. And im not sure if this is intended but when my mind was to0 low, I incapp'd myself. Not sure if this holds true for the other pools.

Perhaps this is an attempt to take specials out of PVP and make it more about strategy, run-and-gun, and longer-lasting duels/fights?

After all, this isn't a first-person-shooter or anything. You're not using actual hand-eye skill to target the other person. You're just hitting a Do More Damage button over and over, with specials.

"What do I do with the last skill point?!?!? "

LOL, I was wondering that one myself. I agree, everyone is screaming "Pistols are nerfed". However if you float around the other forums (Except the $)(&*#*$()*)*#$)(*# flamethrowers), everyones profession hits a lot less. I believe they are trying to make it so battle last minutes and not seconds. Was playing the other night and got dropped my a )(*#^#)_$ flamethrower in 2 shoots. Not very fun. I think once peeps get over not seeing "1000 HP " taken off, it will be more enjoyable...PvP that is. Now if PW2 would only knock someone down

Do you guys realise you still can heal yourself for full efficiency ? It will take 40 ppl firing at full rate on a master doctor to kill him...not likely to be intended.

This patch was the funniest thing I ever saw in a mmorpg.

Right, but what is that doctor doing in the meantime? He's not exactly spam shotting you with 1000pt specials either.

Doesn't this patch make mind damage even more powerful than it already was? Even a lowly Novice Medic can now heal a dozen rounds worth of Health and Action damage with a single stim -- no one should ever die of Health or Action damage now.

Assuming this PvP change wasn't really a bug, shouldn't every primarily PvP player migrate out to max mind, min Health and Action, and get Novice Medic if you do not already have it? (Not that some PvP players weren't already doing this, but it seems even more a necessity now.)

(Not being a serious PvP player, I could be totally off on this.)

I have the feeling this is a bug.

If it isn't a bug, people will complain about this and it will get changed back in a week anyway.

It's actually probably an over-the-board drop in damage. Something I noticed while doing the accuracy tests is that the damage behavior changes at the low end in PvP. In particular, I was doing 40-44 damage with a 30-61 damage rifle without doing specials while in a duel, when the actual damage should have been much lower (and with a greater spread). Later I noticed lower damages when a less skilled player was using the weapons, so it's possible that accuracy has an effect on the damage distribution somehow (and it's more obvious at low damages).
