Thread: All hail the new uber king the pistoleer
The last 2 days the game got soo crazy.
I was finally able to log in yesterday. Thinking SOE might roll back, I just farted around with my character not really caring what happen.
So I went to the Krayt graveyard, spammed bodyShot3 against a juvenile krayt dragon. Lo and behold, to my utter surprise, I killed it before I even looked at me. I looked at the combat spam and saw I got off 10 shots within 1 second, each doing between 1k to 2k damage on my FWG5.
My BH buddy told me his Rancor got owned by swarm of *durnis* -- he logged off immediately.
Another person I met in the cloning center say his stat got permanently reduced to 1 (he claims he got buffed by a musician and when he died, the buff went away and took his stats with it).
I made a musician in another galaxy. After a couple of hours of music playing, his secondary stats were all in the 1000 and the 3 primary were down to 300.
I don't know to laugh or cry. Don't even know if I should log in today or go spend time with the baby and wifey for the first time in months.
Anybody else have crazy funny experience with the recent patch?
We've all had crazy experiences, big time -- take a look at Dev Tracker for a list of many of the known bugs.
The reason you had so much success against the Krayt is that its armor and resists were bugged. I'm very interested to find out, though, whether BodyShot3 has been improved. I'm going to try to test that tonight.
Wow... if Bodyshot 3 is fixed or improved... with the new Fanshot and pistol whip (yeah pistol whip will be fixed obviosuly but its still cool) Pistoleers may have a every early christmas. Well those who arent masters yet or dont care about dodge and defenses or... okay well still, I look foward to your results Phil.

My experiences are very different of yours.
All this is just due to the armor bug that went around a couple days ago (nasty bug too)
All armor was reversed... meaning armor 3 was armor -3. That is why the rancor died, along with the Krayt. His FWG5 was doing ~ 200 damage * 1.25 * 1.25 * 1.25... hold on while I get my calculator... pause... ok got it and that equals 390. add to that the damage modifier for bodyshot 3 and that gets it close to 1k damage. Now tell SOE to put that bug back in the game for an hour... I need some Tissue!
