and read the patch notes.


Things were looking good, I was ready to log in and check out my new titles, and perhaps my new abilities, could it be that multi target shot actually did something, or that disarm 2 actually did what the description said!


no ...


mater pistoleer with 900000 pistol XP stored, more combat XP than I'll ever need, and I'm as effective as a marksman, once again, disappointed by the great ideas put forward by the dev teamwhich have been badly implemented into the end product.


admittedly, fan shot and stop shot are both superb damage output skills, but as you all know (if you are a pistoleer) they do not focus on any one pool, and I haven't really been bothered by this, I've been waiting patiently for my master skills to do 'what it says on the box', Disarming shot 2 should do more than cause a 2 second delay in the persons next attack, especially as it still has the HAM cost of a knockdown (even though all knockdown HAM costs were decreased!) Disarm 2 still costs me 180 action with a scout blaster ... something tells me that needs a fix.


Multi target shot ... now I've been playing with this on and off, and all it seems to do is aggro things from max range, which were not even your intentional target(s), and it doesn't seem to do any damage ... at all, only eat HAM and aggro random creatures from the edge of your radar.


so I'm curious, as I'm sure every other master pistoleer is, what exactly the point of having the master title actually is, the 2 shots we gain do about as much damage as body shot 1, and do not work as the description dictates. is it for the prestige of saying we've wasted a lot of time ?


I for one certainly hope not, otherwise there'll be a mass exodus of Pistoleers to the ranks of Carbiniers, who seem to have a much wider variety of shots, for exactly the same amount of skill points used. (I know I'm already thinking about it this morning.)


Please take a goodlook at the master skills for pistoleers, and either give us something which is actually of some use in both PVE and PVP situations, or remove the carrot on the end of the stick and just be done with master shots, because as they stand at the moment, only a fool would waste their time and effort grinding all the way to master pistoleer.

Ya, I agree in every way with this post. The only reason I'm keeping Master Gunfighter is a whole dignity thing, I guess. I spent so much time and effort on getting to it, I don't want to just throw it all down the tube...but holding onto it seems so freaking pointless. *sighs*

Yep, agreed 100%. I wasted a ton of time getting Master and now I'm totally gimped. Our tree doesn't have a single useful skill at this point.


Oh well ... at least I can do 10,000 damage with a LLC as a Novice Bounty Hunter. Totally absurd.
