how many more class specific weapons do they want than thescatter, llc?

for 4 boxes of pistol they want to dual wield, are you freegin serious? as if getting the the use of the best pistol/special with a pistolin the game isnt enough now they want more.

22 - Move from specials per weapon, to all specials can be used by all BH weapons (4)

since every other class in the game is restricted by thiswhy are bh's any different.i hopethey arent serious as to submitting this to the dev's.

24 - Holsters (3)

again for 4 boxes they want something that master pistoleers dont have.

26 - Add Rifles to BH (2)

**edit** they already get carbine,llc,pistol, now rifles. i feel like they are a bunch of dogs that will eat untill they throw up and then eat their throwup.

their were some requests that were not as bad as these but **edit** how much is enough. i guess if you ask for the world and get a little thats good. but if you ask for a little and get nothing is what there trying to stray away from

Just ignore their correspondent. He always makes unreasonable requests. Hell, not too long ago he held a vote to see how many wanted MEDIC skills incorporated into the Investigations tree, but about half of the BHs told him he was being stupid.

lol some BH came in here and one starred you, i 5 starred you and you went to 3.5 roflol...

I agree, BH is much more powerful than pistoleer, they SHOULD be more powerfull based on points used but not THAT much more powerfull like they are now. In essence a BH using a pistol of ANY type should lose to a master pistoleer, but they get lightning cannon and carbine etc that are better than their pistols anyway. So overall they would be superior to pistoleer, but not when they have a pistol in hand.

This whole worrying about the Bounty Hunters just needs to stop. Don't sweat it. The Devs aren't going to break the game.

Jaegen could suggest a pistol that does 499-1000dmg with a 1.0 speed AR2....Doesn't mean the devs are going to do it.

i try not to let it get to me but after i read all these posts that are like

bh's should as good if not better with a pistol than a master pistoleer

bh's should be as good if not better than a master carbineer with a carbine

bh's should be as good in tracking as a master ranger.

bh's need to dual wield pistols

etc.... on and on and on.

and this isnt some post of some guy going off cause he is mad its the bh correspondant talking about the list of issues to send to the devs.

then i see my correspondants list

please fix our specials so 1 work

please fix our defenses so they make a difference.

i think jaegan does a great job and he is not telling fishing stories about what the pistoleersproblems are or is granting a pistoleer wish list like the bh correspondant does. i cant help but get a little angry when i see these wish lists by .

i am not exactly sure how i did a triple post but sorry guys.

So avoid reading the BH forums. Everybody gets annoyed when a Bounty Hunter comes in here looking for a flame war, I'm sure they get just as annoyed.

Everybody is passionate about their class, but we do need to remain constructive and look at the big picture. 1 Class completely owning another or the same template winning time after time will just make a server full of clones.

As much as we rag on the devs, they are smarter than that.

I hate to say this, but the SWG devs have proven IMOthat they listen to complaints. I gave them the benefit of the doubt early on and was very reasonable and balanced everything I requested, and kept things in perspective. I felt good about the things we requested in terms of overall game balance. Do you recall what Holo said after reading the first report?

Something to the effective of "All combat professions cried like little babies except pistoleers, so we think pistoleers are probably overpowered".

I remember it all too well.

So, the result is, EVERYONE should cry and whine since the devs don't know how to balance and will rely on the player base. Quite opposite of what a sane person might think is the right direction, but there you have it.

As to reading the BH forum, yes, they are ludicrous in their requests and probably don't expect to get all the changes, but of course, would prefer it if BHs remained better than any other combination of professions so they can feel like they aren't missing something in another profession. Whatever that means. IMO, there are too many broken things to worry about BHs right now, I worry more of the longevity of the game and it's inability to offer anythingrewarding or challenging.

Jaegen is right, as usual. Like him I worry about the future of this game.

Maybe I'm way off base here, but I think it would be common sense that a master of any firearm (pistol/carbine/rifle) should beat out anyone who isn't a master in that firearm, but is a hybrid profession (i.e. BH). To me, this means that a master pistoleer should almost never lose to anyone else using a pistol who isn't a master pistoleer. Same for rifles for master riflemen and carbines for master carbineer. They specialize entirely in 1 type of firearm, know how to use it better than anyone, and should be extremely difficult to defeat. Hybrid professions like BH and Commando should be very deadly, but they shouldn't be able to use any 1 type of gun better than a master of that gun.

What's the solution? Make elite pistol/carbine/rifle classes more powerful by giving them specialized weapons and better special moves, closer to the master level, so people can't "dip" into the novice profession to grab a couple of good skills. Is this a perfect solution? No, clearly not...but it would go a long way to making the pistoleers/carbineers/riflemen alot happier.

That being said, I'm very happy being a gunfighter and would never trade it for anything...it would just add to the playability of the 3 master weapon classes. Just my opinion.

Pot calling the kettle black. Like Pistoleers have *never* called for the ability to use the scatter pistol.

If you took a moment to read the post you would realize that those little numbers in the () are the number of posters supporting the idea. Every class has its crackpots, pistoleers and BH's alike. 2-11 people supporting the idea does not mean its going to the dev show.

The BH correspondant posted all these suggestions and tallies the nubmer of supporters to prove to the BH community that he was only going to present ideas for changes on the correspondant board that the "MAJORITY" wanted. He was doing his job.

Take a moment to extract your head from your ass before you open your mouth and your ideas won't sound like **edit**.

Way to make sure that all BH are toeing the line!!!!

FYI, that was a list of suggestions from various people. Some good, some bad.

I guess we have to run everything bythe pistoleer forum prior to discussing it on our own forum among ourselves.
