i just watched a movie last night while the servers were down called "Equalibrium". This movie was so amazing and one of the best pistoleer related movies i have ever seen. It is a futuristic movie(think matrix/minority report). It is about the future and outlawing of feelings so as to get rid of war and violence in the world. In this world there are special force police that called "Clerics" who train in a new form of martial arts with pistols. They learn a special Kata that involves killing the most people in a given area with the greatest efficientcy. It is explained better in the movie then i can here hehe. In one cool scene he even runs out of ammo and has to use this weapons to "pistol whip" 5 opponents at one time. It made me chuckle thinking about my character. anyway just wanted to pass this on to the pistoleer community and please feel free to post any other cool pistol related movies here so i can check them out. I remember that there was a thread in here wanting us to have Gunkata type moves. A bit over the top for SWG, but would be attractive.

I also recommend the movie, not just for the action, but the nice retelling of Fahrenheit 451 and 1984. A good film.

It was ok but I thought the dueling pistols was lame as hell, and the mathematics used to shoot made me laugh to. The sword fight was good though. Who wheres motorcycle helmets with glass shields? LMAO

You want a good pistoleer movie, last man standing with the pimp daddy Bruce willis. I love the fact that the undertaker kept smiling and waving as he went past .

As with all things that can not be expressed in a mathematical formula the above is just an opion, take it or leave it, Caveat Emptor.

Another good moment from a movie is from the good, the bad and the ugly. Eli Wallachs character goes into a gunshop and starts tearing down pistols and makes a good one up out of a bunch of crummy ones. Then procedes to shoot the targets sidways and blasts two of them to bits. The third one is still standing intact and the shopkeep says, "Ha ha you missed". Eli Wallach takes a slug of booze and walks down and jumps on a board and the head of the third falls off. At this point the shopkeepers mouth drops open. I think of my character when he is looking at the guns and getting the best one. Of course the guy in the movie robbed the owner but that is a different story.

HMM, How about giving the pistoleer a way to "Make" his own weapon. Not to dis the weaponsmiths, but that would be awesome. Think about it taking parts from different weapons and making a custom gun. Ahh but one can dream can't they?

Equilibrium is a very good movie (highly recommended, not only for fights) but clearly fiction (ah ah, dual wielding is that easy ?). This is a great movie made with almost nothing, no money nor time. When you see Matrix Reloaded and then Equilibrium, you really wonder were all those dollars went...

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly is a monument imho. Sergio Leone's movies are just awesome. Clint Eastwood won't deny this.

You surely wanna soo "Sniper" too, an excellent movie dealing with flowers and butterflies...and some Snipers that are crying because they get located by their victims and are forced to use pistols, too bad this movie was made by SOE.

Well, hearing "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" mentioned, I must add to that two more movies by the same director (Sergio Leone), namely "A fistful of dollars" and "For a few dollars more". Both should provide very good inspiration for any pistoleer, and the landscapes in them might even remind you somewhat of Tatooine... )

to bad both both "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" and "Last Man Standing" are remakes of Akira Kurosawa's "Yojimbo".

I'm gonna pipe up for 'Desperado' with a certain Mr Banderas as 'El Mariachi'. A prequel to the currentmovie 'Once upon a time in Mexico'. Loved the gunplay in Desperado, although I understand the original was better, (called just 'El Mariachi') but I haven't seen that.

The bar gunfight scene is a classic imo.
