Pistoleer Archive
Thread: No up coming updates for pistoleer?
Looks like our issues include:
Special attacks which knockdown NPCs will cause the NPC to fall down for a couple of seconds before trying to stand back up. If the NPC is dizzy, he may fall down again when attempting to stand.
Might make pistolwhip effective for a few more seconds.
Increased movement accuracy penalties/defensive bonuses
If this helps anyone, it helps people who can improve their shooting skill on the run, I guess it hurts us less than everyone else.
Decreased pistolwhip 1/2 damage
Greaaaaat! Thanks amillion.
Increased damage of overcharge shot 2
not sure if this is one of ours or not
Brought pistolmeleedefense2 (pistolwhip 2) cost in line with pistolwhip 1
Pistolwhip would be useful if it would work more than one time per bad guy, at least for me.
Let's just say the Devs have not made my christmas list...no new weapons, and they nerfed one of our already range-limited attacks. I think the BH and CH people are buying them off...

I was doing PWs on a creature for about 250 pts of damage at one point. I don't think they ever intended the amount of damage done by this attack to exceed the amount of damage my gun does. And the knockdown is the important part - the damage should only be secondary.
Teras Kasi (I believe) have a knockdown move as well, and it only does 5-6 pts of actual damage. I have seen NPCs using it on Lok, and it's quite effective to knock my pets out so they can come after me personally. So I don't think this change is all that bad a deal.
