Thread: Finally hit Novice Pistoleer.. to find that Heathshot2 doesn't work.
I'm a tailor, as you can see by my sig. On the side though I like to go hunting with my PA mates in places like Dantooine, Lok and go theme parks, dungeons etc. Most of the 'content' in the game is very combat oriented, as it should be I spose ![]()
Anyway on the side I wanted to take up Pistoleer, so I've been working and working, slowly but surely to get that 125k xp I need. Well today I finally hit it, while taking out a lair of Greater Shaupauts near my shop. Anyway I imediately ran to Keren, hooting and hollering in PA chat all the way and trained up. I saw that lovely big Health Shot 2 button on my hotbar and ran out from behind the Spaceport and took a few potshots at some Spineflaps with it.
Immediately I noticed that while I was 'doing' great dmg with the special, a few 600+ hits with my 41-202 1.7 FGW5. The mob it'self wasn't actually TAKING damage.. and only when I finally stopped trying to use Health Shot 2 and used a regular shot did I kill it. Now these things have what.. 150 HAM? I shoulda taken it out EASY first hit. So it appears that I actually wasn't doing any dmg.
So.. have I spent the last several weeks working to Novice Pistoleer just for a borked special? UGH I look at the requirement on my next skill.. and my next special, and I want to scream. By the GODS I hope that one isn't bugged too!
Health shot 2 causes the target to bleed. I think every 30 (?) seconds the target will lose the amount of damage you caused w/ the healtshot 2.
For example, I use healtshot 2 (or "Sap Blast") on a dewback. It hits for 500 damage. Every 30 seconds, the dewback will lose 500 points of damage to it's health pool.
What Bacon said, except I think the timer is 20 seconds.
Healthots aren't great onmobs with low HAM, but are great on High HAM mobs that take a while to take down. Also fantastic for PvP.
Works great with Suppression fire and any KD attacks you have also.
also you can use it with healthshot1
they stack, so u get two bleeds every 20 seconds
u only get one bleed icon though....
when u get that first notice, 500 damage, its just telling you how good your bleed is gonna hit for....
Fion,
HS2 is not a damage attack, it's a bleeding attack. If you're going to be in a drawn-out battle, bleed them with HS2 then switch to regular body attacks.
