Just thought I'd let you all know, since most people always talke about krayt FWG5's, about krayt Scout Blasters. Id forgotten I had a spare +30 tissue in the bank and I was sick of my krayt FWG5 (62-320 dam sliced and unpowered) taking abouut 69 action cost per bodyshot2 (only got novice pistoleer and stances 1 atm), so I got a master weaponsmith to make me up a scout blaster with the tissue.

Stats from memory:

94-217dam

1.3 speed

range mods: +17/+13 @25m/-90

HAM (The best part cause its scout): 12/21/12

With the extra speed and lower HAM costs (now only costs me 30 action per bodyshot2) I now put out a lot more DPS with specials, let along if I used a damage powerup.

ya know, I was just thinking about doing this same thing. I need to get a tissue so i can get me one of those super scouts.

I love my krayt scout blaster. Way better damage than my non-krayt FWG5.

There's a vendor on Flurry who has a super scout blaster:

104-296 dmg @ 1.3 speed (I can't remember the lower value exactly but it IS in the low 100's. The higher number is what stuck in my mind and is correct)...This is a sliced weapon with NO powerup applied.

If those stats didn't make your jaw drop then the price will.... 1.2 Million Credits.

That beats the crap out of most sliced FWG5's available on our server which tend to be in the 80's - 260's range and around 2.0 speed. If you really want a good FWG5 and can afford it, my best one is sliced for 94-338 @ 1.9. I've seen a few that were higher but not by much and they were even more expensive.

1.2 million!I dont think I've had more than 15k in the bank at one time..wow I think you got a rip off.Let me guess you bought it from someone who said it was really hard to kill a krayt even with three AT-ST's?

Well my Krayt FWG5 is 92-401 1.4 speed (with a slice and dmg powerup, without powerup is 62-302). I am thinking about getting a Krayt scout blaster since i have a +48 max damage and -.5 speed krayt tissue to use on it.

I feel the FWG5 is VERY nice, i'm regularly hitting for 900-1800 with regular specials like body shot and my health shots hit for 500-900. and since healthshot 1 and 2 stack i can hit a 1800 point bleed at times.

i dont see ANY difference with krayt weapons than i do with good normal ones. The only exception is if you find one that uses a very high quality tissue like +40 or something.

krayt guns dont give any real bonuses aside from the fact u can get more crafted damage out of it. Case in point: i bought a 75k FWG5 today made with krayt tissue. I bought another FWG5 made without KDT for 10k. unsliced damage was 63-215 on the 10k piece....after slicing it was nearly equal to this Krayt gun. Tested it out on various MOBs and on guild members...reviewed combat logs. No difference in damages.

krayt weapons do not give any "behind-the-scenes" damage bonuses that i seen. Liek i said the onyl good ones are going to be those that are so expensive it isnt worth buying them for the difference in damage. Who wants to pay 300k+ for a pistol that will do maybe 40-50 more max damage.

Difference is, though. that the FWG5 average HAM cost, even on a good one is like 26/51/28. The scout its 12/23/12. That means that you sacrifice doing a little extra damage, and save doing a lot to you. This is extrememly important, esspecially if any of you have ever used a FWG5 in a duel against a caribineer (you'll know what I mean...legshot).
