Thread: Devs Fix the Dx2!!!

ok so u get ur dx2 certification after the FWG5...now wouldnt u think that the dx2 would have better damage or speed? well sodo i. it is the only cert we get as pistoleers and it should be usefull. comon devs make the dx2 the pistol it should be!

good when mobs rush up on you at melee , but thats really all its good for.

Please, the AP is only bugged when considering the +25% dmg you should do. It does correctly work vs opponents AR (as in it ignores one level of AR.) Honestly, this is way more dmg and way more useful than the +25% bonus consideration. one level of armor reduces your damge by 50% so the DX2 does 50% more damage vs AR1 opponents than the FWG5 does. The FWG5 in the above example would have to do 200-300 damage to equal the range of the DX2 (100-150 vs the above FWG5 being reduced to 25-100 dmg, if you see what I am saying.)

Ummm, has anyone else thought about the fact that the weapons increase in effectiveness as the resourced to make it become better.


On Starsider the DX2 was 75 - 120 damage at 2.9 speed with 4 quality metal.

Since no one else wants to state the obvious I will say it.


DX2 is armor piercing and acid. Not to mention consider the huge damage variance you get with a fwg and the very small variance with a dx2. On my server a fwg is around 50-200, and a DX2 is 100-150, those ranges are basically the same, except the latter hits for a rarely resisted damage type AND is armor piercing. If you don't think it is useful then I suggest you read the armor guide under "Advanced Guides" on the main site.

Maybe you should try to read the other posts on this forum, Aerius. The armor piercing on the DX2 is BUGGED and doesn't work.


The DX2 also has horrible accuracy at long range. I think at this point the DX2 is purely a situational weapon and isn't a good choice for general use.

the ones I am making are around 105-156/2.6 and thats using the best titanium aluminum and platenite copper to shift. Other than better resources the only way to make these better is with krayt tissues or other subcomponent powerups that come via loot drops. On Chilastra those tissues are selling at 40k a piece, the dx2 takes 4 identical power handlers +1 for the schematic so 5 krayt tissues or 200k credits to gain a max of 50 points and .5 speed. 200k is over and above the 26k the gun normally cost. Quite a bit of markup for for 50 whole points of damage . There were a few weaponsmith using their factories to dupe and was why you were seeing lower prices for a while. Now that krayt spawning has nerfed and they cant dupe anymore one will either end up paying 200k for 5 tissues or the only people with krayt enhanced weapons will probably be those that kill them themselves. It would be nice if better resources shifted but these categories typically have preset ranges so titanium aluminum might show up with better OQ but its conductivity will probably always be horrible and just the opposite seems to be true for the platenite copper. As much as I love making pistols I end up preferrring to make DXR6's which are the exact same gun in carbine simply because the stats and range make them better than a DX2 using the exact same rare resources.

ive never seen anything to indicate its bugged? What sort of proof is there. Also who cares if its got bugged long range accuracy, its a pistol. I choose pistol because I like to battle in close quarters via firearms. Im nto sayin its not bugged, but I use the dx2 full time and I cant complain. Granted it sucks that its out only elite weapon, that its the only armor piercing weapon we have and such...but still?

btw, I am using an advanced dx2, and its sliced, it is better than a regular sliced dx2...by a lot with regards to speed, but thats another option for those who dontlike regular dx2

And the accuracy IS a major issue because now it's only a situational weapon. If you're using it for general use you'd almost certainly be better off with an FWG5 in almost all situations, until the mob closes to short range.


The DX2 should be the best pistol. Right now it's the least accurate pistol and itsarmor piercingisn't working right, so it's only valuable for those of you (like thornz, apparently) who like missing the mob until he gets close enough to wail on you.

perhaps its because im a CH, but I dont move around a lot.I place myself behind the tank, kneel and fire. theres no accuracy issue for me. I cant really comment on others I guess. If there is an issue id like to see it addressed for other though


as far as armor piercing broke, I dont know. I do more dmg faster with my advanced dx2 than anyother weapon I have, Im not sure i totally buy that.

My damage sliced DX2 does 130-234 @ 2.5. I've used this, and a damage sliced FWG5 which stats I can't recall atm against the same creatures at the same distance just to test it out. Everything from Gnorts to fambaas (rogue, gungan)and giant peko-pekos (I like naboo). Anyhow, every single time, without fail, the DX2 does more damage. Do whatever you want with the numbers and bugs. All I know is the things I kill on a regular basis all die faster with the DX2.
