Never realized what the pistoleer - BH bruhaha was until I started PvP two weeks ago.

Figuring I was two boxes from Master Gunfighter, thought I might do well.

One word: eyeshot. Almost every BH who used this on me has won. I thought, **edit**, I suck. But I can solo freaking level 50 animals with my traps and guns, I can't be a bad player.

Oh wait, I see what they're doing - hitting the only unhealable mind pool and using blind.

Then I thought, hmmm, hard choice, shoot the largest health pool that the enemy's medic will just refill with an area stim, or shoot the one pool no one can heal without a Twi'lek go-go dancer.

Gee, hard choice. Oh yeah, they get -blind- too, which is an awesome PvP state to inflict.

So, got off my buttyesterday (so to speak) and got master marksman in one hard, long day. It's easy if you're already a good pistoleer because you can buy good weapons and you know what to shoot, how to shoot, and your pistol can back you up.

Scouting - easy. Go with a party to Dathomir or any hard planet and harvest Giant Baz nitches on Dath for example. 465 scout xp per pop. You'll have master scout in no time.

Oh yeah, you can apply unlimited glowire traps to any big animal for unlimited trapping xp. I've been helping people get Trapping IV in two hours like that for weeks now with that tip.

Already had the combat xp, got more with marksman (nunas suddenly give you killer xp when you hold a carbine again) and boom, Bounty Hunter Novice and the first Bounty Hunter box - bleeding shot!

I can now stack 3 freaking bleeds on a target. They are blood sieves.

Should have eyeshot in a couple days.

Hey, may sound cheap, but obviously if they can ask us freaking questions like 'why is everyone taking pistol?' they should be smart enough to ask themselves 'why is everyone taking bounty hunter?'

It's good to be noble but I like to win PvP every once in awhile, too.

And Master Gunfighter with Eyeshot will probably own just your average Master BH with eyeshot. In fact I know they will cuz I've seen it more than a few times. Boy dosomeBH's get pissed at dabblers!

I also play with some good riflemen and this should compliment their abilities quite nicely.

Hard choice, guys, shoot biggest healablepool, or shortest unhealable health pool.

Besides, we'll be doing ourselves a favor. I like balanced games with a variety of strategy and tactics. But this game ain't one of those cuz there's one class with one shot that punks everything. Hopefully they will see so many people with eyeshot they'll fix the mind pool or just dump eyeshot altogether.

Then I'd be happy to be pistoleer, cuz I'd have a freaking chance.

I am an Expert BH (BH pistol line) and Master Gunfighter. I do tend to kick alot of ass in PvP even against bounty hunters of any level.

I chose to do this because instead of spreading myself thin over multiple weapons, I want to be a TRUE master of the gun.

Thanks to the speed modifiers in both professions, along with the accuaracy, I can basically fire any special in 1 second with no delay and hit it just about every time.

The danger in this though is that in large battles I tend to take a hell of alot of people out, but I burn through my own action pool very quickly, in essence aiding the person who eventually in caps me.

But taking out 4 or 5 people or their pets before you finally go down yourself is a pretty nice feeling, heh.

However, I wouldn't recomend this to everyone. The problem is by getting both these lines you have 13 points left over, and not a whole lot of places you can use it. That means no medic skills which can really be a huge factor in battle particularly if the other side is using bleeds on you.

Also alot of people will find this choice VERYboring and VERY limiting as you are using all your skill points just to master one weapon. No other classes or artisan skills etc. You can get 3 boxes up the LLC or carbine BH trees but if you so strongly master pistol, its almost a waste as you'll never use it.

Cool strategy. What can you wield with that CH line?

Also was curious what you find better about the first pistol tree over the melee defense line.

Why are you getting master pistoleer?? I to am a dabbler but I'm better than you guys are cause I don't have master pistoleer. Here is what I have. BH pistol 4, 4/0/4/0in pistoleer, 3/2/0/0 in CH, and novice medic.

I'm a dabbler and proud to admit it. I would master a class either BH or Pistoleer if they would make having master worth it but currently there is no reason. I have 100+ in accuracy and never miss I have +85 in speed which is only +15 away from the max you need in pistol speed. I get to use the best pistol in game the scatter pistol and I get to use the best specials for a pistol.

All of the posters above are right. Anyone who wantsto be good with a pistol should grab the BH pistol line -- it's far better than anything Pistoleer has to offer. Also there is no reason to be a Master Pistoleer any more ... I got Master back when disarm2 worked. Just get 3 speed boxes from Pistoleer so you have +100 speed, and pick up some other skills.

That said, let's focus this forum on getting Pistoleer fixed.
