Thread: Health shot and xp

I just noticed that if i kill a mob with healthshot (bleed+warning shot it away)i dont get xp for the kill...


Is this intended or a bug that anyone knows how to circumvent?

*edit above* it works if the mob keeps in range, so im guessing its intended to not get exp if it runs out of range...



kinda makes sense since abusing it would be too easy otherwise...

As best I can tell, you have to cross some damage threshold to earn any xp for killing something. Bleed damage doesn't count at all for this. I suppose if you warning shotted for long enough you would accumulate enough damage that way. Now, I do know that some creatures will give you full xp even if almost half the damage is from bleeds. Easiest way is to HS1 a few weak creatures, then HS1 them and shoot when they have 1/3, 1/2, and 2/3 health. You should be able to figure out what the xp threshold is.

I was going to mention that this became most evident during our pre-Commando AT-ST kills, because it was immediately followed by, "1 xp for me" comments because we bled it to death.

ima smuggler with feign death and to get pistol xp, and for laughs, i go to endor and take on merek spider things solo. /healthshot1; /healthshot2;/feigndeath and repeat. 4k xp with out a single normal attack. only thing is to last the feign hit so compsite help, cuz those spider things can hit for over 1k damage. so i regen while im feigning and stand up when they stop bleeding and /healthshot and feign away!
