I don't think so... I use a number of pistols FWG5, Scout Blaster, DX2, Launcher Pistol, and sometimes Tangle, and frankly I think the Scout Blaster and FWG5 are the best all around pistols, vs AR or special case resists the DX2. Launcher pistol is fairly accurate compared to say DX2, but its pretty slow (I'm not a master pistoleer) its not armor piercing it does Blast Damage thats resisted alot by what I fight and man is it annoying to use (not that this makes it less effective but watching my screen shake and massive explosions ever second makes me want to not use it )

DPS wise I'd take the FWG 5 or Scout over launcher at my current state in pistoleer 0-2-4-2.
