I'm a pistoleer/ranger and now they want ranger skills too. They'll prolly want to be the best at it cause you know they spend 217 points, most of which comes from two basic professions. Well I'm a pistoleer/ranger/ranged support specialist with carbineI to spend my last points. 2 ELITE professions and 1 basic profession vs 2 BASIC professions and 1 ELITE profession! Gee i dunno who's supposed to be the master here?

If bounty hunters ask for one more frigging thing i think i'm going to burst a vein! I mean hell you know pistoleers just want to be the ebst with a pistol and rangers just want to be the best trappers and tracker there is. But you know i guess we just don't spend enough to do it! ( adds a metric f%^7 ton of sarcasm!)

Man just save your breath. We're all sick of the blowhards on SWG Discussion, but posting this sort of stuff here only invites the assholes into our forum to flame us.

Personally I don't give a crap what the BHs get at this point. Let's just focus on getting our own Professions to work, and leave all the nerf posts to the newbs on SWG Discussion.

BHs can be as uber as they want, they can use any other class' skills, they can have the best droids, they can have anything they want...if they agree to get out of the GCW. Implement player bounties so they can still PvP. But if they want to be the best, let them...but they'd have to play the game differently than everyone else. Sounds fair to me.

As long as there is a way to not have to agree to being hunted fine. Unless they balance them i won't agree to it, hence why i am covert now, if i am covert and i have to be subjected to geing hunted by a class that is that much stronger and i basically have no chance to win i'll quit and so will most people. their current missions are HARD becuase those marks are dangerous people, people belonging to the same elite classes as the players, bounty hunters often die to them but only because NPCs have crazy amounts of ham, players do not have this amount of ham so there is no way it's going to work the way things are now, we should be harder than an npc bounty.

If someone put up 100k to have me killed by a player BH, then I'm gonna die. If the min fee for this service is too low, it will be a problem. However, if hiring BHs to kill PCs is kept expensive, then I think it might actually be fun. After all, they're going to have to find you, etc. If I received a message to the effect of 'You have just been targeted for extermination', I'd actually have something FUN to do! Get prepared! Start moving from city to city! Head out into the wilderness! Run!

I'd love it, but potential problems are everywhere. House hiding would be annoying, for instance. But imagine if you DID end up killing the BH? It would be great if the hit was then cancelled, and the identity of the person who put up the cash was revealed. You could seek vengeance yourself, or put a hit out on him.

I think it would be fun, and I never plan on being even a nov BH. I think it would help with every 3rd player being a BH.

If you think about bounty hunters in general, you think of them tracking people down, BUT swg bounty hunter seem to not be scouts AT ALL. They seem to only track targets down with technical skills...

So i am undecided. On one hand a bounty hunter tracks people, but on the other hand the swg bounty hunter seems to have traded his tracking ability for the ability to use droids.

"They'll prolly want to be the best at it cause you know they spend 217 points, most of which comes from two basic professions."

That i do not understand, the basic profession part, no matter what way you look at it...its still 217 skill points. Im not trying to get into an arguement, but eevn if its a basic profession, doesnt mean it costs less skill points to get, and only getting 250, a master BH can only spend 33 more while you can master ranger and pistoleer, which are elite not hybrid elite professions and have more points left to spend on other skills, while a BH wants skills in the investigation that actually has us investigating something, all we do now take a mission and kill whats at the end of the waypoint, just like any other mission terminal just that we get BH XP from it. I would like a skill that lets us track people not creatures, as it was stated before. We should all just say ideas of what we want for our professions and to make each profession better instead of whining and just telling the devs to nerf everything. EVERYONE WANTS THEIR PROFESSION TO BE THE BEST!!!

I'm sorry but i read that thread and i saw BHs saying rangers should only be able to track creatures, we can do both and we should be able to we spend alot more points and alot more time to be able to do so, we have to master scout and ranger to have that kind of ability, you do scoout and what investigations? You should pale in comparison unless you take the skill from ranger, spend the points and i have np, and you WILL spend them from your 33 points not get it for free.

There is something BH should start to understand : 217 point to MASTER BH but the simple fact of being NOVICE BH already grants you way more than almost any other combat profession and now, this posts sounds like you want to grab a skill from another non combat profession.

Only the Speed Modifiers are insteresting in the BH lines (and special moves of course) but being Master isn't that important. I'm really fine with BH being very efficient BUT they shouldn't be able to get the exact same speed modifiers for a said tier lvl many times, this makes them just god like.

As stated at least 300 times, if 217>92, you must admit 92>28 (skill points for pistol use)
In other words, your 217 skill points already grants you MANY skills, you shouldn't be better in EACH category just because you spend 217 skill points. You should be good (well, there is no special reason to be THAT good but I won't give BH a bone to whine once again) but not the best.

As long as modifiers (and speed modifiers are the worst) can stack from 2 skills of the same tier lvl, BH won't be balanced.

Now, your droid should allow you to track down, for sure. But ppl will admit this IF AND ONLY IF other ppl can destroy or prevent the droid to tell you anything. If the droid is able to send you informations instantly, what exactly will be a problem to you ?

If you played BH to be Super-Heros, let's say the dev team, the game in general FAILS. BH aren't meant to be super combat skilled or very powerfull, they are meant to be styled, fast to shoot and hard to catch. They should be WWAAAAYYYYYY more subtiles than what they are now.

It is another failure to see every plyaer rushing to BH to be able to defend themselves, it is a failure only 2 or 3 hits are used in PvP, it is a failure PvP is so unbalanced.

AND FIX PISTOLEER !

We should focus on us and then watch what it could change and enhance elsewhere.
