Dont forget speed though, I believe on some of these weapons there is a 4-9 second delay.

Doesn't matter, the average amount I hit for WITH body2 is 250, I am usually knocked down, and killed in one shot from there....

what type of pistol are you using only to do 250 dmg with bs2? Are you watching the creatures resists and weakness and applying the correct damage type? With my krayt enhanced scatter i do 2k+ dmg using stopping shot. I also do 700 - 800 dmg using bs2. Eye shot does a nice 500 dmg against things as well.

No offense butmany of us can't use scatter pistols and krayt enhanced weapons are hard to come by. Granted, 250 is low for bs2. 800 is extremely high.

Avg bs2 for an average pistoleer using an average weapon would probably be 350-450.

The problem is the fubared way speed is handled in this game....It sucks....

Almost everyone can hit the cap, It gives the pistoleer no advantage to using a faster lower damage weapon...

I agree with the overall point -- we suck and are underpowered compared to other classes. Our profession is really broken right now.

However I disagree with the specifics. Getting knocked down is no longer a big deal in PvP unless the next shot is from an LLC or Commando weapon because you get up after 5 minutes now and there is a knockdown timer.

I definitely agree that our weapons are very underpowered. As one poster pointed out, they are SUPPOSED to be balanced by having much faster speed ... but because of the way speed is bugged, at higher levels a rifleman or carbine user can fire a superslow rifle/carbine as fast or faster than we can fire a fast pistol.

So we need some attention from the Devs. But I just wanted to clear those things up.

The smart pistoleers don't want anyone nerfed, we just want our own broken stuff to be fixed. But after near 3 months the deves have fixed absolutely nothing. All we've seen is nerfs and and absolutely no signs that they've even acknowledge anything in our class is broke. I'm cancelling my account before I'm re-billed and possibly coming back in 3 months, depending on if things improve at all. At this rate 3 months from now wont be long enough.

His damage sources are referring to PvP (I'd assume)

Lets put it this way, any other elite profession (combat based) can kick pistoleers asses...

No offense taken AwesomMomfo, i was just using my scatters as an example. My fwg5 is even more powerful than my scatters. Yeah and i agree the krayt tissues are really rare to come by now. The speed mods should be left alone in my opinion. Just add a tiny touch more of a delay to using specials. Using an LLC it has an extremely long recharge time and miss potential. I might miss 10 times out of the 100 uses of my power up. Where as with my LLC i have to be within 16 meters to even use a special and then get hammered on as the npc turns into melee mode and whoops my butt during my reload time. As a master Marksman i have had to use a rifle and a carbine to gain some skills. I hated using carbines as the ham usuage was something attrocious. With a rifle i could fire maybe 2 shots and hope i hit both before the mob was on top of me where i couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in that range. Now with the suppression fire nerf they can only stop you once while running at them. That means you can get up and keep running into the range they can't hit you at.

We all have our imbalances and problems as well as perks of our classes. Examples being:

Carbines - insane HAM usuage vs higher power and ar weapons than pistoleers

Rifles - Ranged DB and mind damage shots vs getting creamed by anything in close

BH - Extremely nice attacks and speed - no defensive bonuses or accuracy bonuses while moving.

Pistoleers - A lot of broken specials VS some defensive skills that non of the others get and very low ham usuage on most of our weapons and shots.

Commandos - get insane damage VS having to be within16 meters to use a special and the chance that you are going to miss (and they do miss alot if the mob is moving)

As you can see everyone needs work just not us pistoleers. Everyone seems to have class envy of what someone else can do. No one stops to realize that all the classes have things that are broken. Pistoleer just happens to be one of the few classes without as many glaring defects as some of the others (formerly commandos). By defects i mean things that have never worked or don't work at all. Just think of the carbineers that used posture change attacks to make their living. They got the same nerf we got for KD.

anyways maybe sometime i'll outline the rest of these thoughts in its own separate thread. In the mean time lets all quit whining NERF him, NERF him since he nerfed me and on an on and on.

I was 2 box's from master pistoleer and said the heck with it. I was doing some nice damage but I wanted more of a variety (BH).

With my FGW5 I was getting stopping shot hitting for around 1700. My highest hit was for 2,002 damage. My average double-tap is around 800 to 900. I like the BH pistol because of the high minimum damage. Consistent 300 damage hits every second is nice.

I don't think most pistol users know how good they have it. I started rifle and stayed with it until Novice Rifleman. I am now going down the pistol line because I can hit just about as well at 64m as a rifle, I don't have the short range penalty of a rifle,I no longer live with a melee d penalty, I do way more DOT, I can take multiple white mobs now instead of one at a time ( quicker xp ) and the weapons are a lot cheaper as far as price goes.

If you think that pistol is so bad, go pick up a rifle and have a ball. I know that you will come back with a different outlook on things.

It's nice to have all the Bounty Hunters and Riflemen coming onto our forum to tell us how good we have it. Why don't you go home, trolls? You're obviously a bunch of newbs who didn't climb far enough in the pistoleer tree to discover how all our specials are broken ... if you're stupid enough to be using stopping shot or fan shot as your primary attack, it's no wonder you're telling us that pistoleer is so great.

Look trolls, I'm a Master Pistoleer and yes I've used a rifle and a carbine as well. I'm probably higher up the BH tree than both of you. The bottom line is that there isn't a single special in the pistoleer tree worth using. I use the BH carbine specials more than I use any of the pistoleer specials, and I'm a Master Pistoleer. And that's just the start of our profession's problems.

If you hate the dumb newb pistoleers coming to your forum and flaming you, then stop coming to our forum with a lot of uniformed bull**edit**. It's dopes like you that give BHs a bad name.
