Thread: Explain DoT shots please.
You can stack HS1 and HS2, but not two HS1's or HS2's, and you can only have one of each going at a time, so if you shoot something for, say, 600 damage with HS2, and then switch weapons and shoot for 386 damage, your DoT will do 386 damage per "click". It just takes whatever was the last number you shot HS for. For this reason it is often more advantageous to whip out a high damage pistol for the DoT's, and then switch back to your normal pistol with better damage per second.
As for stacking, I believe different kinds of DoT's stack, like HealthShot stacks with MindShot, but I don't believe more than one person's HealthShot will stack. I think only the first person to get HealthShot on a target makes it count.

I think it's the highest HealthShot1 and highest HealthShot2 that count. Whoever applies it, as long as it is higher than the previous one. Of course it doesn't matter who applies it because it doesn't net you xp by itself, but it does help you get the creature dead faster.
DoT=damage over time
Shots that do DoT slowly sap the mob. Health shot 2, for example, does health damage to the mob every 20 seconds.
My question: is it possible HS2can be fasterthen 20 seconds?
