Thread: Duel Pistols we Want Them WE should have them, If you give it to the Bh's I'll kill you!
I have to admit that I am only a Novice Pistoleer, I have enough skill points for another box but I dont see any point of going furthure in the class, when even smugglers get better moves. What there are only 2 things that will keep me from going Smuggler.
1. New Guns that do AP damage(think Magnum), also included fix the Dx2, especially since my Scout is better and my fwg5 is almost useless cause everthingthing I want to fight has high heast restist.
2. Allow us to wield duel Pistols. That is the only reason I did the pistoleer tree cause I heard the devs mention while in Beta that they were gonna allow people to wield duel pistol. This would finaly make us equal to other classes by increasing our damage segnificantly. Imaging your character dive shoting one of those stupid Bpunty Hunters with both guns blazing.
Now in order to kepp the devs from making one gun that can onlu be a duel, and allow us to use any gun we are gonna hae to loose something. I propose that our Accuracy be cut in half and our speed slightly decrease.
So what do you say?
Oh and what skill box do you recomend after novice.

They said its something with the game engine. Besides dual pistol's would be like fast blast anyhow.

I think this is a really dumb post because there is really no logic behind it. Assuming that I am a Pistoleer + BH, so are you going to give me Dual Pistol cos I am a Pistoleer. Or you are going take Dual Pistol out from me cos I am a BH.I pretty much guess you don't get the concept about this game. You get to choose what you want to be. If you don't like it, quit the class and play something else. Stop whining like a baby and get on with your life.
If you REALLY want to be uber take up commando or something. But then again there is no such things as a all powerful class cos things changes and class changes. Who know, maybe the Dev decide that BH are too powerful and give Pistoleer "Eye shot" instead?
Anyway, it boils down to 1 thing. If you can't take the heat, BEAT IT.

Heh, and you wonder why pistoleer never gets fixed. Right off the bat people demand to have their DPS doubled.. sure..
Stop making ridiculous demands and maybe pistoleer suggestions will be taken seriously.
Dual pistols would be great...but a working set of skills would be even better!
Fix our broken shots then lets talk about upgrades.
Oh and there is no one single skill after Novice that is going to make you much better...either plan to go Master, or at least master a branch, or just get out of Pistols altogether.

I think Multi-target shot should be essentially our dual wielding pistol shot without the graphics.
Meaning that we hit at least two targets at the same time with the same amount of damage as if we were actually weilding two pistols.
They could add the graphics sometime in the future.
Since this is a Master pistoleer skill, we would effectively double our speed and keep this skill out of the hands of Bounty Hunters at the same time.
Since Fan-shot has essentially re-placed the original purpose of Multi-Target shot, we might as well have this as our dual pistol skill.

I think if you folks want dual wielding (and no one wants it more than me!) then we have to be realistic.
Are we going to get our damage doubled....no.
So the real question is what can we get that also makes sense.
Normal shooting with two pistols equipped would get a 25% increase in damage (subject to review) but a 25% hit to accuracy. This ability would be given at Novice Pistoleer. All the special attacks throughout the tree could be fired by onlyone gun (could have a cool graphic/animation with one gun down and the other up and vary which one you use) and no damage changes though the accuracy would still be -25%. This would forcea person to choose between dual pistols and accurate shots and specials. The Devs could gate easy quick switching with dual pistols if they wanted but hey whatever. I know I just going dual ![]()
Then at Master the bonuses would negate the -25% mod on all special attacks...(by nature reduce the normal attacks negative modifiers) and the Master Pistoleer would be given three attacks (A double blast on a single target, blast two targets at once, and some sort of suppression/panic fire) and these attacks would use the full power of both pistols but have delays etc etc to bring them into balance.
I also have no problem giving the BH dual pistols at Master BH...though no specials and the above restictions (as in a less accurate same power Eye Shot). Since it would take a master to get that there would be no way to be a BH and get the Pistoleer special attacks. The only problem would be the Master Pistoleer/BH 0-0-4-0 which is easy enough to fix. Move Eyeshot to Master BH and make the Scatter Pistol unable to be dual wielded. Thus no real bonus for moving up that line with regards to dual wielding.
Just some thoughts.
That being said if they did ever allow dual pistols it should be done with lower end pistols (not like its that bad of a deal). Dual scout pistols firing at the 1.7 or so.
