Thread: Why is Fan Shot AE? I thought that's what Multi-target Pistol Shot was for?

I'm not complaining about what Fan Shotdoes but it just doesn't seem to make sense to me.

What exactly does MTPS do?

I agree. The decription for fan shot says that it will hit a single target twice (or something very simliar to that, meaning virtually the same thing).

Now though, I randomly two targets, sometimes agroing something I didn't inted to.

I don't remember why this was changed.

This was changed because people complained it wasnt as powerful as stopping shot once you got +100 speed. So instead of addressing the real problem: speed. They throw another halfass patch at it.

I'm all for fixing our broken abilities and I DO love the concept of what Fan Shot does (area of effect cone). When careful which direction you're aiming in, it's a very useful skill to have.

I'm just absolutely stunned by the utter lack of thinking on the Dev's part. They completely changed a skill from what the description says it's supposed to do while completely ignoring another ability which (imo) is broken. This is NOT what I consider "fixing our profession".

It's these fundamental oversites by the devs which get me wondering if manyprofessions (not just pistoleers) are ever going to work as intended (at least by the first anniversary of SWG's release). Everyone screams for balance while many professions aren't even able to do what they're advertised to do. Meanwhile, this "fix" of our skill line is just actually just another problem which they'll have to eventually address on top ofthe already huge heap of problems theycurrently have. They are actually adding to their own workload by not fixing it right in the firstplace.

Do it right or don't do it at all. I don't want half-hearted attempts to appease us while we end up waiting another 6 months for our skills to work correctly.
