While i'm unsure if Fanshot should really be a cone attack, since there are TWO area attack shots in the pistoleer family that DON'T attack area targets, I gotta admit it came in handy today.

Doing the last mission for the Imperial Act 2 stuff, I was able to catch FIVE drall in the effect of a good hosing-down of shots.

Later, fighting some gurks, I was able to let them gather around the knees of my walker, and fanshot about six of them at once.

It's the first real area attack I've ever had (PBA1 doesnt' count), and I gotta say I was impressed with the spam of damage numbers popping up all over the screen.

Some guy attacked me with 2 grauls. Killed them both and him with fan shot. I'm really loving the new fan shot.

yeah i wish they'd make pointblankarea2 an area affect attack. is that a bug or what?

I like watching my combat window sometimes just to make sure things are working well...

Groupmember1 shots at thing1 for ___ damage!
Groupmember2 shots at thing2 for ___ damage!
Groupmember3 shots at thing3 for ___ damage!

Gotta love it!

Try this. Go to a lair with a tank pet. I prefer a buffed rock beetle. Send the pet directly onto the lair and let it attack for 5-10 seconds until the MOBS are all around it gathered in tight and pounding on it. target the most difficult/hralthy MOB and start spamming fan. I like doing this on bolma stallion lairs on Dathomir;they are easily soloable with this method. OMG I love fan shot. Anyone who complains about it has bad wiring.

Yeah,I had about 7 gurks (which are, you know, kind of tough) nipping at the heels of of my at-st. And I began hammering them with fanshot from my DX2.

Also very enjoyable.

Well, I actually have a complaint. The surroundingmobs that are in cone range are not damaged by the initial fan shot attack. It just pisses them off and they charge/fire at you. Other than that, i like the change.
