Hey, I wasn't sure where to post this, so I decided to go for the Pistoleer forum since the avg poster here seems pretty knowledgeable. I'm just wondering what happens to my character if my subscription lapses. I've searched all the forums and haven't found a solid answer to this question yet. I've seen speculation that your stuff lasts for "a few months" then disappears, I've also seen posts that claim it never permanately goes away. If anyone could give me a reliable answer here, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks...

Do you have a source for this response or are you making stuff up? People in another forum just told me my character will last 2-3 months then get deleted...

I hear it's more like 7 days... a CH called customer service and ask...

All the MMOG's are ussualy 3 months. Will have to call or write SOE to find out for sure.

what i heard is that for every week your account is expired , soe takes one of your pistol special moves / defence mods and totally gimps them until they are useless. so rest assured us pistoleers have nothing to fear and nothing to lose .

I had this question and when I asked a CS rep, they told me that the info will basicly set on the sever until they have need of space then it could be deleted. That could be a few months or longer. I had an account on EQ with sony and at the time they said that it would be there for 6 months then deleted. I actually went back to the game a year and a half after I quit expecting to start another character.....and there was my old guy. So it all depends. You character doesnt really take up much space on a server. Only when you're online playing does it matter really. Otherwise your just a series of stats taking up space as text or code..........just 1's and 0's, 1's and 0s.

Well if they are smart they will keep it there forever. The only reason I am still in EQ is that my characters are not deleted when I quit for 6 months. However the current guess is that 3 months for sure, then as space is required. There was a post a long time back (just about 3 weeks after release) that characters would be deleted after 5 days. A few days after this they posted that there was no defined time limit, and after this they said 3 months. Bottom line... don't count on it being thereif you decide tocome back. Personally if my toon wasn't there I would have no reason to play SWG again, I don't mind being a newbie once, but not twice.
