Title says it all -- are there +Pistol Speed Skill Tapes? And if you have seen some, what stats do they have?

If they exist, given the manner in which speed works in this game, I would imagine these are some of the most powerful and valuable enhancements in the game, eliminating the need to learn entire columns worth of skill boxes. Although I have heard that enhancement due to tapes is capped at +25, that is still a huge modifier on a skill like speed. If they exist.

I currently wear a pair of boots enhanced with a +1 Pistol Speed skill tape, so I know they exist. I wish I had more, as I'm not sure how much of a difference +1 really makes. If I could find a +25, I'd probably wet myself.

Why? Your title says your a "Master Pistoleer" doesn't our speed hit 1 when your a master?

Yes, what I meant was that I think you can only get +25 to a skill from all skill tapes combined. So if you had six +5 tapes, you still only get +25. But I have never tested this; just seen it posted a few times.

To the poster who asked why a Master Pistoleer would care about such things -- it is not true that we can fire every special with every weapon at 1.0s -- at Master Pistoleer you have +74 Pistol Speed which means you need a 1.6s to fire Fanshot and BS3 at the cap. Getting a FWG5 into that territory may not be especially difficult, but for a DX2 that means you likely need a speed slice (Krayt DX2s requiring five tissues or something). Not to mention the specialty pistols, which are rarely if ever made at those speeds.

Haven't seend any Pistol Tapes myself, but I do have a pair of those +3 Pistol speed Gloves, found a +3 Speed Carbine boots too. I found both of these items (and a DLT20a rifle that shoots mind poison) by spending a day on Rori hunting Corsec Agents.

I have a pair of gloves that are pistol speed +3. I have seen skill tapes, but that was long ago in a galaxy far away. Thet really need to up the droppage of tapes, haven't got one in months. And in a reply to an above post...NO, MP does not give you a shot a second. With MP and no other mods(master marksmen/BH pistols) you only get a +74 to speed, so it largely depends on your guns' speed. With the DX2< I still have a good delay with some specials.

I found a +1 pistol speed tape probably the first couple of weeks in the game. I was all artisan then with little fighting, and then only weak stuff on Corellia. I wonder if that means they have removed Pistol speed tapes fromloot? Thoughts??

Same here. I got 2 +2 skill tapes when the game was first released....have not seen anything since.

I haven't seen any +pistol speed skill tape. That would rule.

However, something that is fairly common is gloves or boots with +3 pistol speed or +3 carbine speed etc. I got my +3 pistol speed gloves from swoop mobs inside Mos Entha.

master only gets 74+ I wouldnt mind 100 Id rape Kimos with Tangle pistol

Yes - I've got a +5 one in a set of gloves (along with +3 accuracy).

I'd kill for some nice +pistol speed tapes. Trading krayt pearl on gorath for +25 pistol speed =P

I have a pistol speed +1 skill tape and the +3speed gloves. I also have a +3 pistol speed CDEF pistol, lol.

During my hunt for containers a long time ago, skill tapes would drop so frequently, I'd destroy more than half of them because I was running out of inventory. I probably looted over 60 skill tapes in all. Since the nerfed drop loot patch, I haven't found a single one.
