In groups on planets like Dathomir, Endor, and Lok you can pick up hmmm... about a 100,000 pistol exp an hour, although 75kish would probably be more normal. I'm sure some folks here have gotten into great groups and done much better than that rate as well.
Or you can solo snorbals on Lok. Everyone else does
10-16k payout each mission. Only the adult males assist. Bring a pet to tank. I don't know how well a droid would hold up to them for tanking. These used to be cake using KD, and then posture down, but now if you don't have a pet to tank for you, you'd need to do warning shot tricks, which is a little riskier. But, the're pretty safe since they don't deathblow.
As for skills, in light of the recent changes and the uselessness of our specials, I would recommend the Marksmanship line first.

I just got novice pistoller and I was wanting to get a few opinions
1. In what order should I go up the skill tree? (get level I of everything first. Go for wrist branch first?)
2. the level I nodes take 175,000 pistol xp. That could take a while to get xp. What is a good way to get xp at a reasonable rate. My character has pretty much spent his whole life on Tatooine. I'm currently on Corelia just about to start the Rebel base missions. I don't know much what else is out there and would like some advice.
