Thread: Some possibilities for Pistoleer?
I was going around killing npc imps tonight thinking, random HAM damage is a mixed bag, sometimes it can take forever to kill something (most of the time), but sometimes u get lucky and hit the same pool 3 times with fan shot and drop a storm trooper cold (rarely).
Random ham damage could be turned into a viable strat however. It seems to me that if just a few things where changed, pistoleer would be an awsome profession again. First, since most of our shots are random HAM damage, our bleed shots should be also, it seems that this would make the other random ham shots potentially more useful. Second, if our shots are going to be random ham then the damage should be increased ora percent of the total.Against week things the current random ham shots are fine, its just that as the ham increases beyond the range of one shot kills, the potential total damage one would have to do increases sharply. (if an NPC has 2k HAM, its possible that i might have to do 6k damage to drop it, 4k HAM, 12k damage, etc.). Third, fix defensive stuff. Being the random ham combat profession hasan interesting upside. On average for example, BH would smoke pistoleers, however, pistoleers would give bounty hunters pause because of the possibility of us landing several shots to the same HAM pool.
What do you think?Did the nerf bat hit me so hardthat I am havingHallucinations, or is this an interesting possiblity?
