I would like to know if Bh is better pistoller than pistoller i see so many bountry hunter and thewy seem to be the major fighting profesion i would like to see somone confirm or burn this topic for me so i caould know thanks

Yes, if you had to choose bettween the two, the bounty hunter currently far exceeds the pistoleer in Pvp and Pve. If player skill is equal between the two professions, and both are equally prepared, then the bounty hunter wins hands down.

Many pistoleers also take thebounty hunter pistol tree which gives them an edge, but even with that, the carbine specials and the improved damage on the lightning cannon still gives the bounty hunter a better combat class.

Most of us pistoleers are hoping that the Devs will fix our specials. Many of them literally do nothing, and others are to weak to ever use. More and more pistoleers are using marksman level abilities for the most part.

If I were you I would probally go Bounty Hunter.

Good., I'm a pistoleer., but I feel bounty hunters should be better., it would stand to reason., they go through alot to get to their tree., and should be thus nasty.

A Novice Pistoleer is not all that much worse with a pistol thana Master Pistoleer ... the whole profession is borked. Why are we bothering to compare ourselves to anyone?

The BH trolls can go home to their own **edit** forum, thanks -- we're not interested in fighting. You win, you're uber, now go home. We just want our profession to be fixed so it's not all broken.

In another thread you even said yourself you probably have more BH skills then most BH's...

Your being a hypocrite when telling people to go away, this is not a class based game, everyone can get your skills, everyone can be intrested in the out come of pistoleers.

You are however right on one thing, the pistoleer tree is so broken right now its useless to comapare...

1.)Speed in this game is broken...the formula gets all screwed up at higher levels...

2.) Pistoleer specials are broken....

3.) Special hit mods (running while shooting) and defnesive mods, are either broken or not working enough to be visable.

Once the above three things are fixed, pistoleers on a whole will be better off....

For the record, I *don't* head over to the BH forum to post flames, and I'm a BH. Not interested in pissing people off, and I'm sick of all the losers who try to do the same over here. So if people want to come and read and discuss intelligently, great. If they want to give one-line flames, they can **edit** off.

And please, they can also spare us 20-page-long posts about how uber BH should be because it takes 217 skill points. I don't give a **edit** about the argument, and I've read it a bazillion times by now. They don't need to post that stuff here, because I don't care how good their profession is ... they can keep posting that stuff over and over on the BH forum to their hearts content.

I'm just sick of all the flaming when most of us want to discuss Pistoleer issues, not BH issues, on the Pistoleer board. Just leave us alone.

Well, to reply to initial thread : yes BH is far better with a pistol than a Pistoleer and we wonder if it was not intended after all...


Main reason BH are far better is most of our skills (for my part, I would say ALL of our skills but HealthShot 2 but I'm a Natural Born Whiner) are broken. In fact, "broken" isn't accurate (he he, another thing that lacks accuracy), let's say inexistant.

I still think there's nothing wrong with BH (the profession, most of players seems to endure some egocentric complex with paranoid fears, dunno...but they are sure they are meant to rule the world) and would even like to see some enhancement for them in the future. Their class is meant to be a very valid one, the most versatile overall but at this time, their are almost the best one at each aspect of the game. Thanx god, the Comando upgrade let me think other classes (ok, professions..."class" is shorter) will get fixed one day.



PS : I agree with Philosopher here, the "217>92" argue is not only retarded, it is purely annoying. We all count well enought to know that, for sure 217 slaps in your face is more than 92 but let me tell you if you get 217 Brithney Spears's slaps in your face, it is nothing compared to 92 Tyson's uppercuts, assuming you will survive long enought to reach 92.

My point is : these are NOT the same skills with completely different effects, why do you keep comparing them ?

Both Pistoleer and BH are combat classes therefore compairsion between the two classes IS acceptable.

Would (hypothetical situation) it be fair to make Rifelman and Carbineers have 184skill points to master and notbe any more powerful than a Pistoleer who would only cost 92 skill points?

Bottom line is this game is based off of a finite amount of skill points whether you want to admit it or not. Being FORCED to use these skill points to become a BH SHOULD justify having more power.

Another comparision;

Novice Pistoleer: 20

Novice Bounty Hunter: 160

This is a legitamte arguement. I am not stopping any Pistoleer from discussing releveant issues but when someone ASKS if a BH is a better Pistoleer than a Pistoleer I have the right to respond.

The reason is that a bounty hunter bieng a better pistoller than pistoller is stupid i belive ( as somone wanting to go Bh) that the fun od\f bieng a bh is tatctics and bieng 10-15% less effective then the master or more would make a bh need to pull out his skill in another weapon to get the job done

BH should be a SOLID profession, they shouldn't be able to wield the best weapons and the best abilities (if this were true what would be the point of the other elite classes?) but have weapons that are not to be taken lightly.

Oh man, just leave it alone.

Mostof us would just prefer it if you let these stupid issues die. They're non-issues. And you'd see far less griping if you just didn't respond to them because your responses draw other people in.
