the point of balancing the ## of professions in a game isnt to completly destory a class, wait for the novices to leave and then bring it somewhat back. What the devs are doing to pistoleers which they dont seem to reconinize is that there hurting the masters like myself, not the novices. Sure the novices can surrender there novice pistoleer skill, and move onto a new and better class like commando, but what about the masters? who invested hours upon hours of thier time lvling there charector? We cant surrender our skills even if we like to, its just the thought of all the hours we put into the class to lose it all from 1 nerf and a couple clicks of surrender skill.

What are the devs going to do once the novice commando sky rockets? its going to, then your going to nerf the class, hurt the masters and the horde of novices will move to the next class. Its a never ending cycle.

And about balancing, im a expert bounty hunter/master pistoleer(was working on investigation tree for my last 13 skillpoints but going to toss it into LLC now so i can at least fight) you cant balance a class like Pistoleer to be equal with a BH. A pistoleer takes 97 skill points to master, while a BH takes 217 skill points. I know people cry nerf the bh or bhs cry nerf the pistoleer which is retarded IMO. The bounty hunter has no skill points to put else where, where a master pistoleer, carbine, or rifleman could put points into doctor, combat medic, smuggler, or TKA for the extra defences and meditation. THE CLASSES ARENT SUPPOSE TO BE BALANCED, if someone with just carbine or rifle, whatever.. wanted to be on equal terms with a commando, one just cant do it! The more skill points a profession takes the stronger it should be.

There are combos of classes which i wish i would have taken, are far superior incombat then others. a master tka/carbinest could take out almost anything, (saying that if defences worked, it would have defenses from both classes, very hard to hit then, both have knockdown, bleed attacks, would do very good in pvp, and with the meditation in TKA the combo would have very little down time in PVE)

Its just that the devs are trying too hard to make all classes on the same playing field. Which will never happen, and if they do, y go for bh or commando? cost more skill points. If all the classes are on the same playing field why not just master one basic elite combat class and grab combat medic or doc? or whatever.

Devs just dont know what they are doing, what you guys did to Pistoleer was killing the class, not nerfing it, you really hurt masters like myself, the novices are blah lost 2 hours for getting novice, time to go elsewhere.

Hope that makes sense too you all, plus pistoleers dont cry nerf on the commando or bh forums, the classes take by far more skill points then this class.

The skill point arguement again. Well ok, look at it this way. I am not current on how many skill points it takes to be a master carbineer but it's around 90? (correct me please if wrong) So you are saying that just because you use so many skill points into a profession you should be more powerful.

By that logic, a carbineer/pistoleer/rifleman should always be better than a bh at the respective chosen profession. I am talking about putting a little over one third of your skill points into just one weapon. How many skill points does a Bh put into pistol/carbineer/rifleman? When someone puts in more effort at one thing they should be the best at it.

I'll say it again. Elite weapon professions should be just that. No one should beat a carbineer at his own game besdies another carbineer of the same skilll, a little lower in skill and higher in skill. In the defense of the Bh his versatility should be brought to bear on the target.

Read it.

TKA won't add to your defenses while wielding a pistol. There's a significant increase in damage when I swap between my Intermediate Pistol and VKs. Defense is based on the modifiers for which ever weapon you have equipped.
