The best place is any advanced planet with a CH and a tank.

Give up the dream of getting good xp as a pistoleer. OUR crappy armor pieceing weapons (ie none, not even the DX2) weapons dont do the damage ... our bleeds do.

You currently dont get damage credit for bleed damage.

I just group with a tera kasi friend and kill Bolle Bolliesfor 1200 each, ittakes lessthen a minuteper, and it's simple as hell. He of course gets 2000exp though.. and it's only 301 scouting exp. But good quality herbivore meat.

I probably shouldn't be writing this since I dont want too many people taking my spot...but oh well =) Anyway I'm sure all of you that have been to Talus have seen the great and mightly looking Tortur's. They look tough and they con red to me, but they are a piece of cake to kill and awesome exp. I'm not sure if everyone can use my tactic to take down these massive creatures but I'll let you know what I do anyway.

First of all I am 0,0,1,0 pistoleer...Master Medic, and 3,1,2,2 Scout So I'm not uber by any means.

What I do is use my mask scent ability because apparently the Dev's have fixed this issue, at least to me it seems that way. I go prone about 50 meters from the beast and use me /aim; /Healthshot2; /Healthshot1 Hotkey to bleed the devil. /Suppression Fire, although the nerfed the hell out of it, and then /Bodyshot2....now I do all of this while prone, apparently these Turtle guys are idiots or can't smell through my mask scent because it takes them forever to come after me, usually after 1 or 2 bodyshots they start running towards me, so all I do is run around in circles while he is chasing me and spamming /Bodyshot2. They do hit hard and cause dizzy sometimes, but its not that big of a deal. Once I get to half health or action I just use a stimpack and keep firing. I have been incapped twice out of about 40 kills so it is super save...plus they dont DB so you just lie there while your Health Shots kill him off, Boom exp. Not just normal exp, but you get 1600 exp for the Torturs, and 2500 for the Tortur Bulls, which they are just as easy to take down.

Not only do you increase your pistol and combat exp like crazy, but these guys are like 80 tons of healthy fat creature and you can harvest out the wazzu or however you spell it. Well I'm sure you guys know of lots of good spots, but I just wanted to help out if you don't. Good luck all

Mature Snorbals on Lok are similar. A couple of warning or supression and they slow down to a stop. Something like 3k xp. Takes a little while though.

War gronda's are pretty sweet to kill on Corellia. They're **edit** slow and give me 2166 xp..and im 2, 2, 4, 2 in pistoleer.

That does work well, although it burns a lot of stim packs and accuracy while running is much lower now.

Other popular strategies for killing reds are:

Health1, Health2, warning shot, and run the other way and peace out of combat. Come back in a bit when it's almost dead to collect exp.

Health1, Health2, any other shot so you'll get exp, and feign death. Wait till mob dies, collect exp, get up and repeat.

Sic pet on mob, Health1, Health2, then fire away with whatever you want, but pet does all the tanking.

As I'd never been to Talus (I have no idea why, I've been everywhere else:smileyhappy I thought I'd go check this out.

I went to Nashal first and ran from there to Dearic (can't beat a nice 9km run to wake you up). I found all sorts of creatures I'd never seen before but not a single Tortur... Are they in any particular place?

Anyway, managed to up some of my Pistoleer tree and Ranger tree while I was looking, so if anyone could let me know where to look I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Yeah thats a great spot for getting xp.

Another great spot is Dathomir, killing anything from Night Sisters, Spiders, Baz, Rancors and Grauls ect... Practically anything there gives over 1-4k PistoleerXP depending on the group size/members.

I'm a MCH and if go solo hunting on Dath I clock in 200k of Pistoleer xp a day little over 100 if I go with
other(s).
Everyday I goto the starter planets such as Tatoonie, Naboo and Corellia ect in search for Pistoleers who want to become a Master in the proffesion. I pay him/her in advanced 10k and give him/her a option to keep the money or grind away with me - and the results are prommising. I urge others MCH to help your fellow newbies to become higher in the proffession!

Still not found Torturs, I'm getting about 1.2k from huf duns at the moment.

Could anyone give me any clues as to where these Tortuns reside?
