Hi All,

I have just reached Novice Pikeman... I feel this is a waste of time and do not want to continue this line... I am already a Master Droid Engineer and do not want to have 2 worthless profession

I can only afford to train 1 master ranged profession so which is best and why? I am interested in PvP and want to have a good weapon. With pikeman I am just chaseing people around hoping to catch them and maybe hit them

pistol imo cause you can shoot very far and very close plus health shot is EXCELLENT in pvp and in killing in general and body shot rocks to.

The prime advantage of pistols has always been low 'maintenance'. You can shoot stuff far away, and no penalties when they get close to you.

The downside is that post patch/nerf, there isn't too much that's really killer. The DX2 pistol is handy, health shot 2 is nice, the techniques tree has some okay attacks if you want to cause damage to random pools. You can get stom accuracy/speed buffs...

But that's about it. If you want to be a pistol monster, look into BH

Once the various defensive things REALLY start working pistoleer might be a little bit more survivable a profession.

Don't go pistoleer, go rifleman i would say.
