1) is double tap a replacement for BS2? I just got it and have been trying it out, it puts out massive damage but the damage seems to be spread out over all the action bars. my best guess is that it's better if you're fighting with other non health pool targetting professions but still not as good if you're with other pistoleers. Thoughts?
2) I'm still having trouble figuring out how to calculate adjusted weapon speed. I'm also not sure where to look up the special delay mod. Anyone care to speak moron for a second and explain it to me? thanks! =)

Heya Styphathal! Nice to see someone read the FAQ first for a change. Let's see if I can help you with your remaining questions
- Double Tap
Nope, Double Tap is not a BS2 replacement. BS 1/2/3 target the health pool. Double Tap hits a random pool. In fact, that whole line, which includes a couple of our highest damage attacks (Stopping Shot and Fan Shot), are all random pool damage. It has limited usefulness because it is random pool. Plus, if you want random pool damage, Kip Up / Dive / Roll shots all do pretty good damage, and have lower delay modifiers, so you actually get a higher DPS from them. On most mobs, grouped or ungrouped, you will find Pistoleers doing: Health Shot 2, Health Shot 1, then BS2 until it dies (BS3 has a lower DPS than BS2). So that's a single Pistoleer skill gained at novice that's worth using, and a couple Marksman skills. The random HAM high damage shots (Stopping Shot / Fan Shot) can be good for highly damaged mobs, PVP against someone with a low non-health HAM pool (you're just HOPING to hit it), and one-shotting wimpy mobs. - Weapon Speed / Special Delay Mod
The special attack delay mod is not visible in game. People have run tests and calculated them, so most of the info is available here on these formums (read the pinned post titled "Start of All profession Specials: Courtesy of Flyojumper"). You can play with it yourself in game too. A stopwatch works well (remember the first shot is free - you count the pauses BETWEEN shots, not the number of shots), or for a rough value, go into your options and turn on the time stamps for your chat windows and watch the combat window. To figure out your actual attack speed, take your weapon speed, multiply it by the delay modifier for your special attack, and then reduce by your weapon speed skill. Speed skill of 46? Then it will be a 46% reducion (multiply by 0.54) - for example.

thanks! good to konw that the hs1, hs2, bs2 thing I've been doing is the best hehe. I only use double tap when playing with my carbine friend. he does random pool shots and so do I. other than that, I use bs2. kinda weird most of our elite specials don't work very well. =/ Anyway, appreciate the info.
