Thread: To Dev Team : Was the DX2 actually tested ?

Frankly ?

Let me resume all things everybody (I mean Pistoleers AND non-pistoleers) noticed :

- Incredibly hard to craft and require MASTER Weaponsmith...Scatter in the other hand isn't a Master thing, I feel balanced here. I don't even deal with ressources required, it just become hilarous. This just prevent most of us (about 99%) to get a decent one for a reasonable price. Thanks.

- its look...no kidding, technology allows us to build Super Star Destroyers od Death Stars and we are stuck with THAT ? Was it a scheme to turn us into clowns ?

- its accuracy...ok, I can admit it is barely hard to hit a fly at 64m...but I miss a RANCOR at 7m about 40% of the time...I am master...can you figure that ?

- AP isn't working at all, period

- HAM cost...ok, so you miss but be happy, you won't miss for a long period of time, with 5 or 6 special moves (oh yeah, those moves are "special", no question here) mob will notice you're about to fall and will jump you to help you finding the closest cloning facility. Hopefully, I am a "Lair Nightmare" so I was clever enought to store my clone data.

yes, everybody already know that and already dealt with...dev team NEVER answered, I think I know why. The reason is : they NEVER tested it !

Why am I saying that (actually, affirming that) ?

Just LOOK what it makes : GREEN ray with RED remains............no kidding ?

They didn't even NOTICE it is plain stupid that a GREEN light have RED remains. To me, it is the best proof, the inarguable clue it was not tested at all...

How long should it take for anyone to just realise it can't be like this ?

On another hand, LLC rays are very nice...and the 3 rays of the scatter is beautifull too...those seem to have been tested, for sure.

PS : Keep in mind I don't want BH to be nerfed, I even want you to be able to knock down your target in a single shot for your dead or ALIVE bounties.

error : not KNOCKED DOWN but KNOCKED OUT for the BH thing. I mean a special shot which allows BH to knock out their target if it hits, preventing any other attack or the target will wake up. While in fight, a target couldn't be knocked out (so only a surprise attack). Well, I'm not a BH designer after all, just some sugestions...

You may wanna check out my thread that goes into the history of the DX-2 at this addy:

I can only assume they started trying to get this gun right and then made an insanely wrong turn. To elucidate, the Tneloss DX-2 was originally a DISRUPTOR pistol, as seen in the book, Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Weapons & Technology (Del Rey) on page 24. The things were supposed to be immensely powerful, but with lousy range. Because they were such powerful and deadly pistols, they were mainly outlawed in the empire except by inquisitors and imperial investigators. access to these weapons was strictly controlled. In many cases posession of a disruptor pistol warranted the death penalty. A law that carried over into the new republic in the EU.

They got the design of the pistol mostly right, judging by the image in the book it came from. They got the range right. And I'm guessing resources are so scarce for em to reflect how hard it was to actually get hold of one. But somewhere along the line, they decided to make it a less powerful 'acid' based weapon. The unfortunate thing is that A: they didn't up the range again to reflect the vastly weakened weapon. B: THey didn't make the resources available to mass produce the weapon, even though it was no longer a feared disruptor pistol. And C, they didn't give us any more certs. I'm guessing originally, we pistoleers were supposed to use a ranged weapon at point blank range. But the one weapon we got was going to be a KILLER weapon. But after it was shifted to a weapon weaker than the certs in the Marksman tree, they neglected to give us a good one to replace the disruptor we never got.

Sound plausible to you?

True, pistoleers need a better pistol.

Do we even have to ask? We have developers who readily admit that they don't play the game and base their decisions on feedback and numbers in their database. We are **edit** lucky the game RUNS and I suspect the Dev's think we should be grateful for that.

Verio WeeGee
So I guess they nerfed sigs too?
