Thread: Could I please get some help with my template
I have thought of 2 different templates, I have been doing artisan and now want to experience fighting classes more. I definetly want a pet and some healing, but not sure if I would be better off going bh or commando for the rest of my points.
Here are the two templates I am thinking of:
Template #1
medic 0 0 4 0able to use stim c and d
CH 3 2 0 0 able to have a graul mauler
BH 0 0 4 4 Scatter pistol and LLC
Pistoleer novice speed and also health shot 2
Template #2
medic 2 0 4 0 able to use stims c and d plus stop bleeding
CH 3 2 0 0 able to have a graul mauler
Commando 0 0 4 0 This gives me flame thrower (not sure how good the acid rifle is)
Pistoleer 0 0 4 0 Gives fanshot and stopshot
Template #1 gives a speed increase with pistol more also I believe that scatter pistol is better than launcher pistol from what I have been told.
Template #2 gives a little better healing and also flame thrower is better. Is the flame thrower better against mobs compared to LLC?
Any feedback would be great.

Oh man don't get me started......
first off I'm in the CH tree and to call a Graul mauler your going to need 3/3/x/x no way around it....BUT it is so agrivating to hear that people who want to have pets do not think that empathy is a valid skill... it is!!!!!!!!!! it instantly heals your pets mind damage real good CH your going to make if you pet is a vegtable so if you want a graul go

Commando? bah go for Ranger for the better camps and skills, sure with commando you get a few cool weapons but as ranger you get alot more

and lastly pistoleer I've read so many times that if you can only get one tree in pistoleer then stick with that choice so yea

I would recommend pretty much anything BUT the line in Pistoleer that you're talking about. Fan Shot and Stopping Shot are random pool damage (crap) and the line also gives defensive skills (broken).
The Special abilities line (right most / 4th) gives speed bonuses - useful.
The first line gives BS3, which is currently useless, but I think it's more likely to be fixed sufficiently to be useful than defenses. Although if you're doing BH and getting eye shot, it's not terribly useful.
The second line (Marskmanship) has accuracy bonuses, which are very useful. So a good Pistoleer template might be 0/4/0/4.
I'm not positive on the CH issue, but I thought you could call a Graul Mauler with 3/2/0/0. That's what I have, and I'm currently calling one, but it's not adult yet, so it may change. I know that a Mountain Squill is in that same level range (30-35), and once it was an adult I needed 3/2/0/0 to call it (but not 3/3), so I wouldn't expect a Graul Mauler to be worse.
And I don't see any reason to pick up the ability to train trick1... Just have other folks train your pets for you.
In order of value, I'd currentlyplace the priorties as follows:
4th - 2nd - 3rd - 1st
If they were to fix Body Shot 3, I would change it to:
2nd - 3rd - 4th - 1st
If they were to add state effects or any other changes to the random HAM stuff, I'd probably keep my recommendations that same. Until they have twice the DPS of BS2, I wouldn't even bother with that line.
