after reading some of the posts in this forum i am utterly confused regarding what career to pursue. currently i am a novice pistoleer with the first three boxes in the pistol marksmenship tree. should i carry on with pistoleer and try to become master pistoleer or should i pursue bountyhunter/ commando. alternatively i could become a creature handler since i already have the scouting xp required to train in novice creature handler. apart from enjoying the game my goal is to become the best possible fighting machine (pvp as well as npc and creatures). can someone please advise me on what carreer to pursue?

p.s. i cant become master in two professions since a lot of my skill points are used up in medic skills (first aid4 dianosis4 and pharmacology4)

I'd recommend Bounty Hunter for the ultimate combat machine. If it were me, Id just do the Pistol and LLC trees from BH, and add some medic skills....with perhaps Novice Pistoleer or Creature Handler if points allow.

Well, if someone with IQ above 80 have any power of decision in SOE team, Pistoleer will get fixed one day and then, Pistoleer will make a very valid choice. You won't be as versatile as a BH or as One Shot Dmg Powerful than a Commando but you'll be much faster (he he, not the case atm) and much harder to hit (still not the case atm).


Oh, and you will be able to hit something one day for more than 500 dmg...maybe.

i don't mind pistoleer. i mean, it's a pistol, they aren't designed for dishing out major damage. most pistols are just used to get out of a sticky situation that the pistoleer did not start. such as being attacked by a mob. if you want to be able to dish out major damage, go for, uhh, something else.

Kujan, Pistols are (in theory) really viable over time. For sure a single hit wont compete with Rifle, Carbine, LLC, RocketLaunchers, SSD and Death Stars (force to admit the don't compete, yeah ?) BUT they should be way more quick to shoot and its wielder should be much more mobile...

It is simply not the case at all, so why keeping poor dmg output while other things are equal ? This is pure unbalance.
