Hey Everyone,

please don not respond to this question unless you know facts.

I was just wondering if Pistol Accuracy actually Effects the amount of damage you deal out, and if it does, what are the calculations used in determining the damage bonus?

Im a expert bounty hunter right now and was wondering if dumping points into the pistoleer Marksmenship tree will actually increase the damage i deal out. Id appreciate any input on this question.

Thanx

I would also like to know how effective dodge is? does it actually make a difference in battle?

Accuracy doesn't affect damage, only your chance to hit.

Since you're a BH you probably have hella accuracy anyway.

Dodge 'works' in that sometimes you'll do a little doge animation of an attack, but even at +30 it hardly ever happens.

It's possible accuracy modifies the distribution of the damage. This isn't known.

Accuracy only increases your chance-to-hit. Hitting more often in turn increases your total damage, and the yielded xp. It's also nice to know you're suppression and warning shot will always hit. If you make Master Gunfighter / Expert BH like me, you will be at a significant advantage over Expert BHs with no pistol skills.

Sorry, the combat support abilities will always hit but not always affect. The still do damage even if the animal doesn't drop or turn. These skills are also very good in PvP vs. player animals, since cowardly gurrecks look like yo-yos when you apply warning shot.

Dodge does work especially against lower mobs. It's hardest to make it work vs. players but even if it saves you a hit 1/20 times that hit could have been your last.

Also you get accuracy bonuses to hitting while standing and moving as pistoleer, so as a pistoleer you move, which drops the chances of the other guy hitting you.

Accurate fire is a darn good thing to have.

Warning Shot and Suppression Fire DO NOT always hit, I have screenshots that can prove it. I'm just too lazy and don't wan't to bother proving it but it is not a "100% hit" at all.

I think what Ypiana means was those shots will still cause damage to the target even if they don't have the desired effect.

Warning shot doesn't have the same accuracy boost as most special moves, so having good accuracy with that shot is very convenient.

Exactly, even if the reaction doesn't happen they will take damage if you don't miss in the first place.
