Lok, they're instant death if you arent wearing armor/using spice - no missions, gotta wander around to find them; and in the few that ive killed, they've only spawned in pairs, but I've only fought one at a time. So, if they are, it's not a very big agro radius

You're not going to be solo nearly as well as a commando or without a pet.

against creatures, your best bet is warning shot and pistolwhip if they get too close. That can make for a long battle, and against herds you might still be in trouble.

Against difficult npc's with blasters, you're basically doomed.

How effective are we in PvE? I love to solo caves, like the narglatch one next to moenia, and I was able to do that with my last character (a commando). I got sick of commando, so I made a new character on a different server with pistoleer as a goal. I was also wondering if it was possible to solo the bigger planets, like dantooine.

One last thing, what is the biggest thing you have killed solo (no pets either) with a pistol. Thanks in advance!

Those kimogila doogins, takes 10 minutes but reaps a 2k scouting harvest =p

What planet are those on? and are there missions to take them out? and are they social? I hate social animals!
