Thread: Body Shot 3 vs. Torso Shot and more: Pistol Gods
Which of the pistol-related skills are best, which ones work, and what do you guys recommend between the multitudes of Pistol options, from Fan Shot to Body Shot 3 to Low Blow and Torso Shot, and everything in between? ~J
Let's do it this way - Gradethe following Pistol-useable skills, in terms of usefulness, and let us know how much you use them:
Overcharge Shot & Overcharge Shot 2
Health Shot 1 & Health Shot 2
Body Shot 1, Body Shot 2, and Body Shot 3
Dive Shot, Kip Up Shot, and Roll Shot
Aiming
Point Blank Area 1 & Point Blank Area 2
Point Blank Single 1 and Point Blank Single 2
Threaten Shot, Warning Shot, and Suppression Fire 1
Tumble to Kneeling, Tumble to Prone, and Tumble to Standing
Disarming Shot 1 and Disarming Shot 2
Double Tap
Stopping Shot
Fan Shot
Pistol Melee Defense 1 and Pistol Melee Defense 2
Panic Shot
Low Blow
Last Ditch
Bleeding Shot
Eye Shot
Torso Shot
Are Fast Blast or Spray Shot (BH) Pistol Skills?
And please compare similar shots - for example, Bleeding Shot and Health Shot 2, and Torso Shot and Body Shot 3, among any others you Pistol Gurus can help with
~J
You can find that info in about five minutes by searching.
Torso and Eyeshot are 3x damage modifier, Last Ditch is 6x with a 4.0 delay.
Best of luck to you.
Your guild is called KOTOR? KOTOR on the 'Box rox
haha
That Last Ditch sounds like a sweet deal...

Since this thread seems to have some momentum and since my question somewhat pertains to it..
I need to know what exactly dictates a Pistoleer's damage output. I'm trying to figure out where my end-game skill points will be. It *appears* that putting points into any pistol line doesn't directly affect damage, just variables like accuracy and speed. Does higher damage just come from different shots, like those in the Stances and Grips line?
Okay Omega, here you go
#1 Body Shot 2
#2 Health Shot 2
#3 Health Shot 1
All any pure pistoleer is going to need
Rivern,
To your more valid question, there are no modifiers available through profession. You gain greater damage through using a better weapon or by using a different skill. However, the most important factor is Damage per Second, which is a blend of damage caused and time to cause that damage. For that reason, the most effective skills are Marksman and not Pistoleer skills. If all you're after is damage, regardless of delay, there isn't anything better than Last Ditch from Smuggler, with Stopping Shot trailing behind.
Sounds like a lot of work omega.
Here's one tidbit. Slower moves, like BS3 and stopping shot, aren't worthwhile unless you have high speed (master pistoleer or BH) and a fast weapon. Otherwise you're better off with BS2/fanshot.
Omega ... we've already done this work. It's in the Pistoleer FAQ at the top of this forum.
