It has been a long morning at work, it's Friday, and I'm going out of my mind!
So... hit the forums with a mindless rant!
While I am still a novice pistoleer (1-1-2-1) I am a bit dissapointed in the changes in the 9/4 patch. My advancement to date through the pistoleer line has unfortunately been on the backs of Body Shot 2, Suppression Fire, and Warning shot, with soem other specials thrown in for fun. As things look now, I will continue to use these skills for a while longer...
Anyway, on to my "dream".
I imagine a pistoleer to be somewhat like Clint Eastwood in the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Quick and accurate at short to medium ranges.
They way I see things now:
We are quick and somewhat accurate, but only when relatively still. I would like pistoleers to be much, much more accurate when moving relative to the other ranged skills within certain range limitations. The balance for this is already built into the class, all of our specials that target random HAM pools. We should have a very high chance to hit, but the offset would be we don't always hit the same part of the body.
Body Shots 2 & 3 seem a little out of place here, but don;t they cause a bit of a delay anyway? It makes sense to me that to target a specific HAM pool it would take a bit longer to set up and aim the shot...
Regarding our weapons damage... at least of Flurry things seem to be getting better. FWG5's are now being crafted with damages around 60 - 250 which is very good for the pistols in this game. However the DX2 is horribly broken and in my opinion very underpowered. A master weapons smith should (IMO) be able to craft these weapons with damages maxing around 300... and armor piercing had got to work, otherwise were just running around wielding nickel plated **edit** pistols
Anywhoo, reply, don't reply, I'm just bored out of my mind for the moment.
Soss the rambling idiot.
