I'm dropping most of my pistoleer skills. Infact, all I'm keeping is the marksman line.I see no reason to be pistoleer right now. I'malso dropping a few medic skills and going bounty hunter.Heres why. Consider these reasons and perhaps you will change your mind as well.

MOVES

The techniques line is useless. Every single skill in that line does damage to random pools, which considerably can tripple the time it takes to kill someone. Yes I do get 1.2k damage from stopping shot, but who cares when half the time I end up having to empty two bars before I actually kill?

Bounty hunters get eye shot which targets the mind pool and torsho shot which targets the health pool. Yes we do get body shot 3, but I hear torso shot is better. Also, master bounty hunters get fast blast which also targets the health pool.

Disarming shot - completelyuseless. Whats the point of damaging their gun? A very useless grief shot.

Pistol melee defense one and two - Since the latest patch I hit about 70% of the time. Simply not worth it.

So, as far as moves go, I see absolutely no reason to stay pistoleer.

ACCURACY

Since the latest patch I am missing a lot more. I am making contact about as much as I did when I was still using my CDEF. Nonsense.

The Devs and What I see happening in the Future

First off I would like to say that the devs are doing a good job making a great game. SWG has 275,000 subscribers! So they must be doing something right (or maybe its just because "Star Wars" is on the box)...

I just don't agree with their philosophy on some matters. For instance, they don't believe in balancing. I believe it was Q who said that they do not balance professions by comparing them.

I don't agree with that.

I don't agree with a bounty hunter being better with a pistol than a pistoleer. I think that defies common sense.

I don't see the logic behind many of the things they do. I don't understand why they're spending time nerfing and not fixing the numerous bugs and problems with this game. I don't see how they could let such serious exploits get by for weeks, many of which they were supposed to know about. The jax, the baz nitch, the hiding in lairs, the duping, scout xp exploit, and there are many many more which distorted the economy, let people advance WAY too fast, and basically set newbies back a ton. Thats permanent and in an MMORPG its serious (atleast as serious as a game can be).

Do I predict any changes? No, not anytime soon.

However, the devs do not care what I think. They have their own philosophies and thats absolutely fine because they're the ones making the game. So, instead of changing the game, I am going to change my character. If the devs think bounty hunters should be better with a pistol, then I am dropping pistoleer and going bounty hunter.

lol not only do they screw the pistoleer they hella screwed the tka.. both professions i mastered both of them useless.. so i gave up the ghost and cancelled my account.. if i wanted to play UO i would have bough UO.. its rediculous that raph kosler gets promoted to creative director of SOE.. in fact its so stupid it has comedic value.. kinda like the guy who leans to far back in his chair and falls on the floor.. this game is trash now.. when in the first weeks it showed mighty promise.. things are only getting worse.. the lack of content and nerf upon nerf.. screw it.. lets all be bounty hunters with llc's so we can be viable in any end game situation now.. how freekin lame is that

I AGREE 110% with you on the pistoleer matter......months of work!! WASTED!!! CAUSE PISTOLEER IS FREAKING WORTHLESS NOW!.........cant solo a blushing jax now cause i miss every freaking time i shoot....i hate you devs!!!

Devs....I hate you all

Just grin and bear it, you can't give up the second something doesn't go your way. They will these minor problems with pistoleer. Just look what they did with Commandos. They used to be the suckiest class, now they're the best(and then some..). So they will get around to fixing us. This is of course easy for me to say, only just getting one level in the pistoleer tree : )

If you don't have eye shot, PvP is totally unplayableeven at master pistoleer level now. The developers have royally$#!%$ up this entire profession.
