Thread: Stopping Shot Experimentation. (Check this out Jeagan)
Ok, first let me say I'm not 100% on this but its something I think is true.
I was on rori mopping up some faction missions, when I noticed something interesting. When I ran into a base of imperial patrolmen or cadets. I normally liked to use stopping shot on them as it could kill them in one hit. But while they were standing still, I only seem to hit a max of 800 damage. However, when I moved to the next ones, which were engaged in combat with me, and running towards me, the stopping shot almost every time did 1200-1500 damage, instantly killing the targets.
So it appears to me, that a target moving, perhaps only towards you, causes a nice increase in the damage of a stopping shot. I could be wrong here, but in 5 missions, with 15 npcs, it seemed to work everytime this way.
This experiment was done with a DX2 pistol, 102-160 dam, 2.4 speed.
