ok im pistoleer.. ive tried CH ive tried BH btw just owning a scatterpistol makes you 2 times as tough.


it doesnt do a lot more high end damage but the low end us way higher than what we got...




Anyhow the point of my post is. im not happy. please up damage ratings of pistols or give us new ones to work for or give us something that will make me want to stay in this class.


Armor piercing


more damage


ranged knockdowns


mindshots


more options.. our skil tree is pretty low on special abilities.. (besides ranger)


why isnt double tap a headshot i mean when cops talk about a double tap its usually an exectuion to the head right??


why am i using only marksman skills.. except pistolwhip which i was actually disappointed in.


why am i still using point blank area 1 that i got as a newbie marksman.


why does a rifleman shoot for 1500 headshot and WE are the ones that need nerfing?



please do something soon.

why isnt double tap a headshot i mean when cops talk about a double tap its usually an exectuion to the head right??







Although morbid and off topic, a double tap can be applied anywhere, often the chest.

Look at the speed on a pistol and then look at the speed on a rifle, that is why the damage is jusifiable.


Also, as the devs have stated, pistols are far too accurate at *all* ranges, not just short range like they're intended. Using a rifle closer than ideal range, let alone close range you suffer extreme accuracy penalties.

Well im no pistol expert but i dont think RL pistols have the armor pirecing of a rifle and since the DX2 is AP 1 i dont think it needs to be any higher. As far as damage yeah its lower than a rifle or but it fires a lot faster than a rifle, i can get off about 3 or 4 hits using normal attacks for every 1 graphical shot i see and my gun isnt even very well made. Also as far as mind shots go why should every profession get to have specials damage every pool, thats one thing that makes the professions unique rifle does mind, carbine does action, and pistol does mind, if i remember right bounty hunter is the only profession that has shots to damage pools that the weapon isnt meant to damage. And ranged knockdowns wernt meant to be spammed so that the target cant ever get up and these are being changed, look at a TKA he has to get to melee range to do his knockdown and it costs him nearly half his HAM. More specials? There are pleanty from my point of veiw, pistol whip, body shot 3, health shot 1 and 2, fan shot and some more that i cant think of right now. Btw maybe its because you are using novice marksmen skills that you think pistols suck, i use health shot 1 and 2, body shot 2(only because i dont have 3 yet) double tap is im killing a lair, i can hit for an average of 600 every few seconds with specials and i average 300 nearly every second with out specials. a pistol is a great gun in this game and it can match up to carbines and rifles if you learn how to use them.

Double Tap is my friend, he is not your friend... He will hurt you for me... cause you 140 dammage in PvP and 400-1000 in PvE.... He is my friend, Icall him Dubbie...

well speed is menitoned.. so lets talk about it.


Elite pistoleers are slower than BH (and get less pistol choices so far as use)


and rifleman i meant really.. master marksman cause the ELITE profession Rifleman has speed bonuses and my laser rifle ( the medium armor piercing 1500 per shot thing i was talking of before hsa a delay of 5.3)


spraysticks which hit for less have a killer delay and are rifle.



im sure with all the bonuses riflemen actually get they wil reduce that quite a bit.. not to metion the MOB usually doesnt notice you the first round so potentially you can have 3k damage done before your noticed.. then ther is the suppression fire and warning shot to make em run back and forth like yo-yo's



we do fire a lot.. not as much as BH and for not as much damage. im not saying nerf BH they should be given a bit more if you ask me..


What i AM saying is that pistoleers also need abit more in the way of things... its an ELITE profession not a hybrid where your never supposed to MASTER anything..


We should be MASTERS of the pistol only reason i compare us to BH is cause they have more the title of pistolmaster than we do at this point.. it needs to be fixed..



Even for pistols you cshould have some that are good armor piercers..

what i don't understand is why BH's get better pistol attacks than us?



i mean eye shot, does 3x damage and targets mind, our good specials double tap, fan shot yadda yadda are random Ham and those hams can be healed

and BH's get the scatter pistol which literally owns DX2's in every aspect, DX2's are like crappy scatter pistols

I think eyeshot does need to be moved much higher on the line or made to use mind instead of action. I have a feeling it will most likely be nerfed.


And yeah, pistoleers need more pistols. They should get a lot more situational pistols (different damage types, levels of armor piercing).

everyone with a decent wpn and decent + weaponspeed skill shoots 1 per sec. thats pistol/carb/rifleman. the only difference is pistols do the least amount of damage and have no AP to speak of. so the pistol is faster argument is really a bad one.

Not entirely true.


Special moves have speed multipliers. So even with a normal shot you may be firing every second, that isn't necessarily the case when you're popping off specials.

The fact that we get more speed mods than a pistoleer does strike me as odd, I imagine the intent was to have the defensive mods play a large roll so that pistoleers (carbineers, riflemen) are very well rounded (offensively and defensively) whereas Bounty Hunters are purely offensive. We focus on 1 on 1 combat where the weapon specific elites seem as though they should be strong 1 on 1 but also be strong in group combat as soldiers.


You're right, pistoleers should be the master of pistols, but bounty hunters should be the masters of killing a single humanoid target. It's the focus of our profession.


I believe that a master bounty hunter should be able best a master pistoleer of equal player (the person sitting at the keyboard) skill. I do not believe this should happen with the BH relying only on the pistol, if that were the case, the pistoleer should win.

Our accuracy has already been nerfed. I miss all the time at long ranges, and most of time unless Im prone at around 20m. If Im right next to them, like Im a melee fighter, then I hit all the time.
