Thread: State defenses work now?
From the patch notes today (9/4/2003)
- Fixed issues with state defense modifiers. They didn't work, now they do.
We'll have to see.
The problem is how do we test this?
It's much easier to tell if a new offensive ability works versus a defensive skillset. Unless I see a mass number of misses by enemies, it will hard to tell if these stat bonuses are effective enough and worth it.
There are several factors in the new patch that favors pistoleers in general. Defense is one of them. The other is that movement is now much more significant. You get defense bonuses for moving and at the same time suffer offensive penalties. Pistoleers get movement accuracy bonuses. Bounty hunters do not.
This will actually give a slight edge to pistoleers and carbineers. I will definitely be gunning and running in PvP combat.
Exactly dead, I think its great...Pistoleers will have an edge in all around combat (being able to fight anywhere at anytime) While BH's will still have the raw power and speed to do alot of damage in short bursts.
If the defenses work right, and the new range modifiers for movment work right...This seems like a good situation for pistoleers
.

I don't know but I don't see everything being great for us, they fixed everyone's weapons except for our DX2, so we still have the worse weapon around with the lowest AR rating that isn't even working!
What server are you on? My DX2 is sweet...
Fellas - Ladies - we really need some difinitive info on the state of these state defenses (hehe). Anyone who is at the house - or work - in game - PLEASE do your community a favor and do some run throughs with the various scenarios:
Defense versus dizzy
Defense versus knockdown
Defense versus posture change
Ranged defense
Melee defense
Im at work - and Im DYING to know if these are now taken into account in combat.
